I came in for a liquid gel refill at Tipsy Nail Bar, and it was honestly the worst mistake. My previous liquid gel set--done at a different salon--lasted 5 weeks with zero issues: no lifting, no cracks, nothing. I only decided to try Tipsy because it was much closer to where I live. Exactly 7 days later, one of my nails lifted almost completely from the back. I reached out, and they did agree to repair it at no cost, which I appreciated. However, they mentioned: "Sometimes gel color doesn't bond as well when it comes into contact with the natural oils on the nail. This can happen even with proper prep." I went back in, had the nail fixed, and the technician checked the rest and said everything looked fine. Then the very next morning, another nail lifted from the back almost completely. This time it ripped my natural nail underneath, and I had to remove it at home. For $75, this service was absolutely not worth it. I don't mind paying for expensive nail services--but I do expect them to actually last longer than a week, especially when my previous set had no issues at all. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I've "been with" Hannah for many years now, once you finally find somebody good it is hard to let go, let me tell you. Prior to stumbling upon her, I had been eh, sorta happy with the other Brazillian experiences around the area. I've driven all over from Canton to Ann Arbor to Bham and back. It's not that the others aren't good, it's just that Hannah is better. She is comfortable to be around, which helps when you're halfnaked. The other thing that sets her apart is her technique and the products she uses - both make all the difference in a painful or near painless experience. Trust me on that. You wouldn't think it, but Hannah's brazillians truly don't hurt. Sure, there is the ocassional zing of discomfort, quickly remedied by some applied pressure from her palm. Though she is a full service studio (with the exception of men's intimates), she specializes in brows & brazillians. Brows are another thing that I value quality with and am super finicky about. I mean, it's Right On Your Face. It kinda matters.. I trust her with arguably the most important parts of my body (heh), and she completely deserves that trust. So yeah, if you are reading this, you are reading it for a reason, maybe you're looking to get started or just switch salons.. Therefore, I don't think I have to sell you on the benefits of waxing (rarely any regrowth, smooth perfection for weeks, not a task to do it yourself.. shall I go on)- rather I hope to have inspired you to give Hannah and her cute new studio a try. I had very high expectations for this salon after reading some of the reviews…read more First thing about this salon that irritated me was that my stylist did not wash my hair even though she was not working with another client at the time. A young girl who must have been the shampoo girl/ janitor shampooed me and did not engage in any conversation. Next I went to the station of the stylist with whom I was scheduled. I showed her a picture of what I was wanting. She started to cut for a few minutes and then said she was going to dry me first then finish the cut. Long story short, I kept asking her to please use the texturizing shears as my hair is very thick and heavy - and she proceeded to tell me that my hair is naturally curly (which it's not) needless to say, my hair cut cost me $75 with a tip which wasn't deserved but I was put on the spot by the salon cashier when I used my debit card. The end result was that my hair was 1 inch shorter on one Side than the other and I asked for a few wispy bangs and ended up with a clump of short bangs in the front of my head. I was so embarrassed I wore a hat all weekend until I could find a qualified stylist to fix my hair on Monday which only cost me $50 and was a great cut with exactly what I wanted. The new stylist couldn't believe the crappy haircut I was given for $75. Lesson learned ...........high price haircut doesn't always equal a quality haircut.
