I have found a lot of clothing I love at Glossy and the employees are so nice and helpful. I keep going back. And the prices are good!

Misplaced my swimsuits before a trip and had to find replacements while traveling. I was worried because I'm a fat sagging old broad and thought I would be hard to find anything in the land of pretty young movies stars. I was very happy to find Glossy as they carry loads of sizes and styles. The staff was helpful but the racks were a bit disorganized. They had a wide variety of bottoms that sell separate from tops as well as sets and many had become mixed up. When I got to the register it appeared I had a bottom from a set that didn't have the top. But I had a top without a bottom from another brand. They were able to sell them to me which was great because I was exhausted at that point and needed to be done. The key to shopping here is to be patient and look carefully. It's a busy place with both young and old and even a place for husbands to sit and wait. I had been looking particularly for biker short style swim bottoms and I ended up finding them in their non-swim area of the store with the pants. Anyways the job was done and hopefully these will get me through the trip. Prices were all marked down so I was able to get 3 suits for the price of one back home. Very happy but happy to be done with shopping for this trip. read more

10+ Stars!!!!!!!!!! First of all... I would like to start this review by saying that I have heard of Glossy before and see their ads but I rarely go to that side of Palm Desert. All I knew was that they the sold swimwear and other clothing. I was spending the day with my Mother and we stopped in because we were waiting for Costco to open. We were greated by the assistant manager, Bella. She informed us that they were having a Luau today and there were beautiful tables with food, treats and cocktails. Bella was so friendly and welcoming. I manage a store on El Paseo myself and I have never seen such a beautiful store event AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I also met the owner Delinda and she was such a gem! She is so fun and has a great personality!! As far as merchandise the have a nice selection of swimwear for all sizes and they also have mastectomy suits!!! They also have men's swimwear which is suprisingly hard to find in this valley! Aside from swimwear the have a diverse selection of men's and women's apparel and accessories! I was especially shocked to see a Sex Pistols hoodie!!(Im a huge punk fan) as well as Rolling Stones and other graphic tees!!! The also have a great variety of earrings for only $4!! I got a cute pair of polka dot earrings and the best black cat earrings ever!!(see picture!) my My mom got a pair of Lands End boyfriend jeans for $12 and they fit her perfect!!! Are you seeking great clothes for your next coastal vacation? Glossy, has the best service, I was there for their Halloween buffet. There was a whole buffet of food, drinks, and desserts. There was one lady folding the clothes to help the cashier. They were all dressed for Halloween. The prices were unbelievable, I walked out with nearly 6 different outfits for less than $100. I interviewed the owner who told me her favorite story is a lady who came from Paris and the prices were so good; she planned her next trip with empty suitcases and just to visit this store. The high quality of clothing is all new, expensive brands for affordable pricing. I have made multiple outfits thanks to the helpful staff and personal shopper experience. They even started providing a men's section. I bought myself 3 pairs of Eddie Bauer shorts! I don't even bother shopping at big box retail corporations anymore. I get wonderful clothing at affordable pricing while helping a family owned business. All out of town friends always ask if I can take them to glossy boutique. If you ever get the opportunity to visit during a seasonal party, it's even more fun bc they provide free food and free gifts with purchase. Such a wonderful place! read more

And they will make any age group happy from the Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini to the cover me whatever you do don't let anybody see me you can find a wide range of bathing suits at Glossy. The staff are always very helpful and willing to make recommendations and help you find exactly what you're looking for. They also have many racks of closeouts and sale items so if you're looking to save a couple of pennies on a bathing suit there's a clearance rack you can buy from. This is an amazing place with amazing human beings working there. How amazing I hear you asking. Wow, that is the short answer. Now, for the long answer, I have never met such an awesome crew of helpful workers. I was there with my wife shopping for swimsuits and maybe a thing for myself. That is when I was approached by one of the employees. She made the shopping experience for me and my wife wonderful; making sure we got the best deal on sweaters, swimsuits, and the like. And the best part is, they had an open bar while we shopped; it's a seasonal practice they partake in. So I got to sip on cocktails while my wife got the best deals on some awesome clothes. This is a very nice store with a lot of nice selections. I have two small issues that have kept me from going in more often. Number one is I had heard when you walk into glossys you are always met with a big hello and smile And asked how they can help you. unfortunately the three times I've been in there that has never happened to me. More importantly in my case I am a plus size Woman and they have quite a small selection to choose from and Those are in a smaller room. If Glossy Would only put in a Larger selection I would shop there more often. read more

Since I last reviewed Glossy's, they have moved to a new location in Palm Desert and are now in the Costco Monterey Shore Shopping Center (at Dinah Shore Dr and Monterey Ave). About 10 miles east of downtown Palm Springs. If you are shopping at Costco; as you walk out of the store and look across the parking lot, there is Glossy's. They have been at the new store for nearly a year now and the dressing rooms are bigger and Delinda still has same great prices on her clothing and swimwear. Can't wait till Fall, when we can start coming to the desert again and I can pick up a couple of new suits and tops for the season. "Maxine" is still my best fitting and favorite brand of one-piece swim suits, followed by the "Longitude" brand. read more

What a wonderful surprise that I found a darling, bathing suit and leisure pool wear all in one shop. The suits are $30. The suits I love are the Miracle Suits which retail over $100 easily at other stores. I tried them on at home and brought back the ones that didn't fit. Great customer service from the ladies there too. Can't wait to go back when I have more time. You MUST stop here first before you buy a bathing suit anywhere else-their selection is the best. read more

LOVE this store!! The cutest swimwear, lounge wear, sandles, accessories at the best prices. The staff is super helpful, because we all know how fun bathing suit shopping can be, patient, kind and they have an enormous selection of swimsuits. I bought a beautiful Calvin Klein swimsuit, a Gotex one piece, adorable suit, Havaina sandles and a beautiful zebra print wrap, all for UNDER 100.00. Worth the trip!! Went there yesterday for the first time for a 'girls trip/day out". We had a wonderful time. Store is well organized and lots and lots of choices. Tops, bottoms, swimsuits, hats, dresses, jackets, sandals, cover-ups, and jewelry. Organized by colors and sizes. And the staff are AMAZING. Every lady working there was polite, professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful. It's hard to believe you are in a discount clothing store- they treat you as though you are spending thousands of dollars. They even have cookies and coffee - which the husbands appreciate while their wives are shopping and trying on clothes. The dressing rooms have plenty of room. The only problem- not having a vehicle big enough to bring it all home. It may have been my first trip, but it definitely will not be my last. Well worth the 2 1/2 hour one way drive to go. Costco was just an added bonus. Thank You Lovely staff for an enjoyable shopping trip - and I hate clothes shopping. read more
