Never had an issue with any school my child attended. My child started here late this year after we…read moremoved to NJ. Within 2 weeks DFCS was at my door for accusations that were not true. It is so upsetting that educators are out to ruin lives of children. A simple conversation or meeting could have been held, but not once did they contact me. One day my child was sick and we both were home, I got a call from Bell Oaks saying if they did not know by 11am my child was absent, then they would have called the Police to do a wellness check at our home. SMH. Too much to type, but I cannot wait until the day I can move my child out of here!!

Bellmawr elementary school was amazing! The school was great my kids liked it everything everything…read morewas fine. However when my daughter's started middle school and the end of covid started to wind down me amd our family started having issues w money. Bank account depleted and we somehow turned our rent vouchers from the state to keep us in our home in wrong online and we found ourselves homeless for half a year. The school proceeded to make out lives hell because w were poor and now homeless even calling dyfus on us wich got thrown out immediately due to false claims amd they got in trouble for calling them on us for being poor as well. The councilor is the only person in that school with any brains and any sympathy or empathy or understanding, but when you got a tiny little big man principal bossing you around then theres not alot one can do. We spoke to the school about our situation many times. We felt all we cld do is break up the family and have me go stay elsewhere while my husband stayed w his dad. I would be able to secure housing thru ssid if not w my husband and I'm sorry....but the school putting pressure on a family to make that horrible choice was disgusting in every way possible. They acted like it was just an easy call. We been together for over 20 years. More then half my life. Now I had to go looking for a place to live on my own. Well I got that housing akd I'm on my way out o thos district THANK THE GODS....and when we went to get out papers to discharge my kids they all but threatened us saying if they could they'd call dyfus on us AGAIN because they dnt trust us qnd they're planning in calling the new school to make sure they "keep an eye on us". I'm seriously considering getting a lawyer for this. This is flat out harassment due to us being poor. This schools been nothing but trouble my kids were both bullied bullied teachers don't do shit to help the shy quiet kids all my kids teacher did was mad things worse by pointing out how shy and quiet they were to the class. I have moved about alot cuz my husband's work moves alot ...this school has got to be the worse school I've ever seen. Like I said the elementary school was fine but....the middle school gave us issues from day one and that principal shld be fired by how he talks to ppl and the students and the sli.y crap he does to good family's on hard times. Must be nice to never worry some of us unfortunately have too. They don't give a flying shit what your situation is qnd we were horribly discriminated agai st and talking to another family who also found themselves homeless last year in thos same school....WERE NOT ALONE....this schools done this to more family's then just ours. Disgusting. Runnemede school district helps family's in need they treat you like family.....how can a school so close by be soooooo totally different in every way its almost like a culture shock. I am looking into getting a lawyer for the harassment they put upon us and the way they threatened us when we left. If they so much as utter a single word about us being bad parents ciz we had to live in a motel I'm suing the crap out of all of them and rightfully so!

I immediately realized this was the kind of guidance they could have used to balance the less than organized life that I provided my children. I swore at that moment that I would provide whatever it took to bestow this gift upon their children. When my grandson was 3 years old, and potty trained, I contacted Tammy for a visit to the Childrens Montessori Schoolhouse (CMS). The children all greeted me, and then quietly went about their "work." I watched as one child went to the snack area, prepared her vegetables and dip. Ate them while quietly chatting with her friend at the table. (all the children are friends here! "Cooper, when you are finished, bring a friend in here to take his turn.") Then, she cleaned up her plate and napkin and set the place at the table for the next child. This week, I watched the children eat their lunch at the picnic table on the playground. When one little boy finished his apple, he hopped up, put the core in the compost tumbler, turned it three times, and then sat back down at the table for more conversation! And no one is over six years old. I found the "math" section of the classroom. One of the Montessori principles is learning a concept "physically" with your senses before you internalize it mentally. One method of learning their numbers is counting beads on a strand, with your fingers. So, first master counting a strand of ten beads. And then I saw a rectangle of beads, ten by ten. Hah, these children are learning to square their numbers!! Ten squared is 100 beads. How exciting! And then I saw a cube of beads, 10X10X10. Mercy, they will understand cubing and cube roots with their tiny fingers. When did I finally understand that concept? Junior in high school? I watch my little grandson, who, like his grandmother (me), is an agent of chaos. But he steps through the portals of the Children's Montessori Schoolhouse and Mrs. DiGiralamo, Miss Marilyn, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Billingham gently, quietly guide him to a world that is structured, yet loaded with freedom, once he understands the rules. And now we are beginning to bring the principles home. It's a challenge, but we now know what is possible. As a grandmother, I rarely purchase anything for my grandchildren, but I feel like I am giving them the gift of the world through the Children's Montessori Schoolhouse.

It was important to us that she attended a Montessori school, but more important that we felt like it would develop her strengths and teach her. Even more importantly, we wanted a place that would feel like a home, where the teachers cared and were genuine. This was it for us! I cannot say enough about this school and our experience thus far. She's learning things that will help her grow into a kind, independent, and thoughtful person, and that she will carry with her the rest of her life. In our opinion, this is the best kept secret in the area. We love it here!
