This doctor was referred by mother's PCP. My mom is a diabetic and needed attention to her feet. We went to the Metairie office located in Doctor's Row. It was downhill from there. Parking is horrible, the office is located on the second floor, elevator operation is questionable and the receptionist is rude. But the real kicker....the Foot doctor. While sitting in the office (an hour) to see the Dr, an elderly patient was making her way to the receptionist to pay her co pay and schedule her next appt when she fell. She actually fell into the water dispenser and it crashed onto the floor with her. The bottle was cracked so of course water quickly flooded the small office area. It appears that 99% of the patients are elderly. Those patients with younger family members who had brought them to their appt quickly rushed to help the lady that fell. The Dr heard the noise, came from the back room,...... saw people trying to help HIS patient up off the floor and went to pick up HIS water dispenser. He then went back to the exam room and left HIS other patients family members to deal with the incident. He did not ask HIS patient if she was ok, he did not ask HIS patient to return to the exam room to get checked , he did not try to assist her up from the Floor!!!! The staff did not have a mop, they used paper towels and handed a few rolls to patients to assist with the clean up. I could not believe he walked over HIS patient like that. I guess the concern ended once he received his co pay. As I human I have never seen so much indifference and lack of compassion for the elderly by her Dr before. I have never been so disgusted. I understand this Dr has a multiple letters behind his name but this said volumes of his character. read more
