I also did not receive the final bill from Uhaul by email like I was suppose too. When the final bill was read to me over the phone it showed I was charged an extra & $71 dollars for fuel, but because I did not take a picture of the full fuel gage both companies are unwilling to do anything about the extra fuel charge. When I returned the truck the employees were to busy to inspect the truck and fill out the forms so I could be billed while I waited. They said I returned the truck half empty but inspected it the next day. Basically I am stuck for the charges, so if you use them, take pictures of EVERYTHING! Be careful they take advantage of any mistake you might make.

A young man immediately approached me and stood there for a few minutes discussing what I needed. We talked about a couple of the lanterns on the wall. He said he was going to the desk to check on the prices and measurements. He was gone a long time, I could see him. I thought maybe it was just taking him a few minutes to look it all up. After about 15 minutes I went to my car and got a measuring tape, came back in and measured the lanterns myself. He still never came back to me so I left without the measurements or the pricing info. I feel sure that my purchase will be pretty sizable but maybe they just don't need the business. Very disappointing. I can probably purchase online but hate to not shop local. They always seem annoyed by questions or even just me being there (maybe their grumpiness is part of their charm??) but the poor customer service has been on another level. I bought a plant in the spring that was mislabeled and when it bloomed, it was the wrong plant and was actually invasive. I called to let the shop know and they didn't offer a refund or replacement, even though I had to tear it out and destroy it. (We will see this spring if I was able to remove it all or if I have a difficult problem on my hands now.) I decided to try them again and just stopped in for a hostess gift and bought something from the discounted table and the man behind the counter made it so uncomfortable when I corrected them after being charged full price. They also offered to add a bow and tacked on a $5 charge, which seems excessive especially given the lack of upfront notice on the price. I really want to support local small businesses but I genuinely don't understand how they expect customers to want to keep coming back when they present themselves in such a manner.
