I am writing this as my 2 1/2 year old fence is being replaced by a different company. The fence that was removed was the third fence installed by GM over a 20 year period. The first two were excellent experiences. This recent fence also looked great at first but we saw serious problems develop including sections that were bowed and sections that disconnected from the posts. They refused to come out to fix the early issues so I figured it was time to give up and get something new. It was only today that I was able to see that our issues were due to shoddy installation. First off, they never removed the old posts but just cut them down. If they encountered difficulty driving a post to the correct depth for stability, they cut the post instead of digging. They also left a fair amount of debris in a stretch of woods behind the house. The new fences was a little less that the GM fence but the price includes digging out the old GM posts and cleaning up the old debris. read more

I was initially happy with the price and installation, but the post and rail fence they installed has not lasted very well- especially the posts. Several of the posts connected to gates had to be repaired only 4-5 years after installation. They had essentially rotted out. I'm not sure if this is due to the quality of the wood, if it would have helped to treat or coat the part that is underground, or what... this first repair was around $500. "We have to be able to make money to send a guy out there (to repair the fence)" was the response I got. Most recently, a tree fell and broke a section - they wanted almost $600 to repair one gated post and some wiring. I got another fence company to do it for half the price. This other fencing company will have my future business. read more

Got a great price on a standard 6 foot white PVC fence 120 feet across. Got quotes from several other places within a 15 mile radius. It wasnt an easy job, it went up a 45 degree incline in one spot and there some small trees in the way, they took care of everything. Work was efficient and was done in a day, highly reccomend. read more

Would not recommend them. We requested they put up a fence in our backyard where it is somewhat rocky and unleveled and they advised us that it wouldn't be possible. They recommend putting the fence more into our yard. Well sure enough we used another company who was successfully able to do what we requested. Seems like it was just laziness there... read more

The showroom staff were not at all friendly or helpful. However, the estimator and installers were very professional, helpful and hard working. I have had repeated issues with the gate going off-line and they have been responsive. So, if you could get the fence without ever going in the showroom, I would recommend them. read more

I recently stopped by the showroom in an attempt to see if my gate could be fixed. There were 3 employees chatting with each other doing nothing. When I asked about gate replacement they shortly commented that one could be built but they are very busy and likely could not do the install. I asked about getting an estimate and again the comment of being extremely busy was brought up. In essence it was clear they were trying to blow me off. The customer service was rude and unprofessional. I walked out annoyed and saddened to know that people are spending their money at this awful establishment. Also surprising that there were 3 employees standing around doing nothing obvious yet they are extremely busy. I'd strongly recommend any other company besides GM. read more
