I cannot recommend Andrew enough if you are studying for the GRE, GMAT, or EA. When I started working with Andrew, I had just started my test preparation for the GRE, and was struggling to stay organized and create a study schedule that was both rigorous enough and realistic with my work schedule. One of my favorite aspects of working with Andrew was the fact that he creates a detailed study plan for each of his students week by week, assigning homework based on how much time each student has to study in their day. This was incredibly helpful for me, as I knew each day the number of practice problems I needed to get done, making studying seamless and allowing me to focus on the material and improving my test-taking strategies. Our weekly meetings were also instrumental in my success on the GRE. I had to re-learn much of the material on the quant section, as I had not taken a math class in a number of years. We utilized our weekly meetings to review any homework or practice test problems I had struggled with, and drill in important concepts for the test. By the end of our time working together I improved my quant score from 141 to 159, and my verbal score from 159 to 164. The market for a GMAT/GRE tutor is saturated and can be overwhelming because there are plenty of options so you have to rely on the small details to make a decision. Andrew's speed at getting back to me when I was tutoring shopping, plus his free phone consultation (not all tutors are willing to do this), were the details that sealed my decision. For 2.5 months Andrew taught me online for the EA (same makers of the GMAT). If you're like me, who studied communications in undergrad, the concept of quant will scare you, but fortunately, and I can't stress this enough, Andrew was very patient so this helped at not making the classes feel like hell. On the contrary, they would actually go by pretty fast! Andrew will set up a customized plan for you and will dedicate himself wholeheartedly to you. For me this was encouraging because 1) it made me work hard and 2) we were able to focus on topics in which I needed more practice. Andrew has plenty of experience teaching students, I believe it's 20+ years but don't quote me on this, better for you to ask him yourself, so he's tutored about all types of students. This is a huge plus because through his experience he can roughly assess after initial lessons how much time you'll need to get the scores you want.
