GMS Installed a new package unit at my house. Quality and workmanship was excellent. Showed up for estimate on time. Showed up for installation on agreed date and time. Install team was great and the owner Steve has been there for everything. The quote that I received was very competitive with all the other a/c companies. A couple other companies didn't even bother to come back with a quote after looking at the job. The company is extremely disrespectful. They do not value peoples time or schedule. Also, when the technician is here in notes, a 12° difference in the airflow between the duct with a thermometer and then the office claims that the technician says the system is working properly. It is not my house is set to 77 on a typical Florida day and the thermostat reads 80+ after the peak of the day. read more

GMS Air Conditioning , LLC My home is less than seven months old, and I am already dealing with rust issues related to the HVAC system. The company that installed the HVAC was contacted for warranty service, but instead of standing behind its workmanship, I was told they do not work for free and that I needed to take the matter up with the builder, even though they installed the system less than seven months ago. The service call itself was extremely disappointing. The technician arrived, opened the indoor HVAC unit, looked at the problem, closed it back up, and left without making any repairs or attempting to correct the issue. Nothing was resolved. As a disabled United States Army veteran, I expected honesty, professionalism, and accountability. Instead, I received excuses, finger-pointing, and a refusal to honor what should be a straightforward warranty claim on a brand-new home. A warranty should mean something. Customers should not be forced with a subcontractor while trying to avoid responsibility. Stand behind your workmanship, honor your warranty obligations, and send qualified technicians who are willing and able to perform the work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I have not wanted to spend any extra money for the next few months but when he showed us what was on our wires, etc. we immediately had the lights put in. Horrible!!! Horrible!!! Call the BBB!! Don't use them. Our air conditioner froze up on July 20, 2024. We called them and Meghan picked up and told us someone would come out on July 21, 2024. Between 10-1. A tech came out said he does not have the part. So, we needed to wait til July 22, 2024. We have no air for two days. The temperatures are in 92. I have a small child, two dogs and myself and husband. I have a black metal roof in the month of July. The house is in 91 upstairs and 88 downstairs. We had waited to see if GMS sheetmetal & A/C would let us know about helping my family fixing the problem. My husband had to call them 8 am and again at 9am. We are chasing them down to get the part. We are with no air and not one call. No communication from them. Finally, we get a phone call from Meghan telling us 1-5 pm someone will be by. Meanwhile, the no air spent 10,000 on a brand new Trane Ac unit from them two months ago. No parts available locally. Only in Orlando the part was found. 48 hours with no air!!! There is a part for our AC at PSL. We are being lied too!! We are suffering from heat within our home with our dogs and child. No one is willing to help to call or do anything. I have never had such horrible service. Be ware this is not a honest, caring company. The company doesn't care to take of the issues and dragging out excuses of why!!! My family is in our home hot and sweating because we can not the truth. Please think twice before calling this company!!! Question... Regarding this company!!! Why did you decide not to call Trane or have a tech go pick up the part? Why refuse to service the ac unit we bought from you? Unethical business practices!!! BUYER BEWARE! I wouldn't even give this company a one star if I didn't have to. The owner Steve is very unprofessional. First I agree with the "yelp" reviews that say he really knows how to screw up an attic's crawl space. There is 0 crawl space. (Make sure you check out yelp and google reviews also) When I asked him to come out to the house with the HVAC blueprints, they were not what was in our attic. He said he didn't know why and that he just prints them out and sends his crew out to do the job so he really doesn't know what they do... really? This is a brand new house and the models all had incredible HVAC systems. But unfortunately the builder changed companies when they built my house. I noticed there was a return vent and it was placed on one side of the house, right next to a vent. That doesn't even make sense. So I called him and asked him to place another return vent on the other side of the house because it is a fairly large house. He had a small one in the dining room above the dining room table very close to the other one in the master. (and who wants dust flying over your dinner anyway?) He said he would schedule me in two weeks. Didn't understand why he would wait two weeks but I was patient. Didn't hear from him in two weeks and tried to call him but he wouldn't answer or call me back. I kept calling him for about a week but he would not return my calls. Rather than dealing with the aggravation of an unprofessional A/C company, I decided to call the company that has been servicing my old house, and now we will use them for all of our maintenance needs on our new house. They came out in two days and surveyed the HVAC system. They said the duct work was not energy efficient. They have to take out a duct that was in the wrong place and the wrong size. Because of this only one side of the house stays too cool while the entire other side of the house stays too warm, and cannot adjust to regulate itself. I am just happy that my old company is coming out to fix GMS mistake. I would have used GMS to maintain my system and that would have been a huge mistake! I have lived here since 1984 and know a ton of people and have dealt with many A/C companies but GMS takes the cake. And word of mouth goes a long way! read more

Great company professional work at a good fair price came out and repaired my unit in a timely manner

Hired this company to replace existing duct work and place returns in our home in December 2016. Now 9 months my husband had another company look at our duct work after my husband crawled in the attic and noticed we have condensation around various parts of our ducts. The other company told us they installed the duct work inefficiently and virtually left no crawl space in the attic with the way they ran the duct work. After several phone calls and voice mails my husband set up an appointment the owner of GMS Steve he said he would seal the duct in the areas where the condensation was occurring. Well he never showed up and never returned my husband phone calls. This company is unprofessional and would not recommend them to anyone. We are now contracting another company to correct all the mistakes they made. read more

Two months after they installed new AC , it went out. After not answering their phones or calling back, they proceeded to not show up for our appointment. After showing up for the second scheduled appointment, the person had a terrible attitude and was rude. He claimed he fixed it, cleaned it all out, and there were no problems.
