I was in Wellington visiting from Los Angeles, the health Mecca of the country, where they seem to…read morehave every health product imaginable. I found Muscle Works Supplements which was conveniently located steps away from LA Fitness. I stopped in to get some products that I could not fit in my luggage and I was blown away by the variety of options on the shelf. Not only was the store incredibly organized, clean, and totally cool inside, they had so many more products than I could have imagined (ranging from mainstream lines to smaller labeled products). The best part of my visit in was getting some of the most personable one on one help from the owner, Troy. I met him the first time I was in the store. The second time I went in (after testing out my samples for three days and deciding to buy a new supplement) I met the other owner, Ken. Both Troy and Ken are very friendly, personable, and took so much time answering my questions. They know their stuff! Unlike other stores I have been in, I did not feel the least bit pressured to buy anything and they helped me narrow down my options based upon my personal needs and goals. Wellington is lucky to have such a great supplement store with genuine owners. I wish I had a place like this in LA. I've been enjoying their brand for maybe a year or more. I always find it at Fairway Supermarket. Today I had my bagel all toasted. I pulled off the silver seal on a new tub of cream cheese. The use by date on the bottom is April 8, 2020. To my surprise there was green mold. I should have tossed it. Not me! I scooped out the bad and put the serving on my bagel. Now that I had a full stomach I decided to see if I'm going to get sick. Sure enough mold on cream cheese can taint all of it. It's not the same as hard cheese. With hard cheese you remove the moldy part. At this point I decided to let the company know. They answer the phone with a live person. The nice lady put me through to Corey in their quality assurance department. He listened attentively and said he would mail me some coupons or more product. He answered my other questions about the cream cheese. He said when it's opened it should be good for a couple weeks. He said the fact it had just been opened and had mold was the nature of the industry. It may not have been refrigerated timely by the grocery store. He also added if I'm going to get sick it should be in 24 hours. I don't think in my case I will trust him making medical predictions. For me it takes at least three days for food to pass through my digestive system. So that's the way it is folks on a rainy February 11, 2020. Lesson learned!
