I love haunts and the whole atmosphere that goes with it! I am rating this haunt higher than any of the Portland haunts. It's a shame this isn't in Seattle or Portland cause they would stay packed! Now Valentine's needs to hurry up, I am jonesing for a haunt! It's always a fun low stimulation activity we enjoy doing on the rainy days. We love all the inclusiveness to the facility. It never seems to be too busy. Parents have always been very attentive to their own children. There's a little kid room. I'd say more for ages 1-7. There are signs and rules to follow. Our child hasn't got sick from this place yet, mind the signs, please. When a sign says "shows off" take yo shoes off. Then there's a bigger kid room (my toddler loves it nonetheless). This room has more ages 5-10 age range. There's some nature stuff, a tiny grocery store with cute carts. Doctors office. The train was a newer one. There's different STEM type activities as well. Very open space for many kids to play at once. It's extremely cute for a nonprofit kids space. Then occasionally they have their "Science Room" open. It's pretty cute! A little more for older kids like 7-13. Definitely keep an eye on your more squirrelly kids in this area. But very cool space when it's open! Anyhoosies, we really enjoy the CDM. They also do events quite often. I believe they have a mascot. They're pretty active on their Facebook page. Only downside, their hours change often it seems. I enjoyed the all natural aspect of this patch more than others that typically have nice neat rows and whatnot. This one just felt more farm like and messy, in a good way. My only issue was the paying to get in part, then 3 pumpkins being nearly $60. I thought we HAD to pay admission to get in, but afterwards it seemed as if I didn't need to. Admission is $10 a person & you get unlimited bouncy house and hay rides. But later I noticed you can pay separate for hay rides, so overall I was kinda sad I paid entry cause we could've done without. Oh well. Anyhoo, not a bad little pumpkin patch that's local and not too out of our way.

I was really disappointed in our visit to the Japanese Gardens at lake Sacagawea Park. We travel…read morewith our dog and one of the things I usually look for when exploring a new town is a nice local park where we can bring her along. I'd seen information online suggesting that this location was dog friendly, so I thought this would be an easy stop for us and routed us slightly out of our way to come here. Unfortunately that was not our experience. When we arrived, we discovered that dogs are not allowed in the Japanese Garden area and there were also signs throughout the park indicating that dogs are prohibited in many areas. It seems like they allow leashed dogs in parts of the park, but there are several restricted areas. So if you're traveling with a dog, I would recommend skipping this area entirely. It's not worth trying to decipher where it is and is not okay for you to be. Since we were already here we took turns checking out the gardens themselves and honestly they were pretty underwhelming. I don't know if we caught them at the wrong time of year, but there doesn't seem to be anything here that makes it worth the effort of a trip specifically to come in and see them. The park itself looked nice and people seemed to enjoy walking around the lake, but the gardens just weren't that impressive in my opinion. In hindsight, I really wish we had skipped this stop but if you don't have a dog or don't travel with one, you may enjoy this location.
