The venue was set up beautifully, and the food was outstanding. The wait staff were on top of everything! The event went smoothly, and everyone was very happy with the outcome. I've been impressed with the beautiful grounds, killer views of the lake, and high-end menu at the restaurant. As mentioned, the grounds are really lovely and well maintained. Lush green grass, mature natural trees, and views of the water throughout the resort. The Terrace restaurant is positioned on the hill with perfect lakeside views from the beautiful dining room. There's also a patio space which we had lunch on one day where we got to enjoy both the refreshing breeze from the water and the gorgeous sunshine. Both times I've dined here we've had professional friendly service and it's been super easy ordering gluten free items from their menu. I've savored their fresh ingredient seasonal salad, the salmon fillet with a delicious champagne beurre blanc sauce, the steak salad was incredible with perfectly cooked sirloin and blue cheese vinaigrette, and some yummy street tacos. Pretty much everything I've had here was spot on. Looking forward to my next visit so I can further explore the menu and join the little sister for some pool time.

I've golfed here right around 60 times in the last 12 months and can safely say it's a great out-of-the-way track with friendly staff and they take care of their course. For about the price of Glendoveer (without a cart!) you can golf here with a cart and unlimited range balls. Deal...I'm telling you. In fact, I kind of wish I didn't say anything.

Pretty approachable course, mostly flat. There were some challenging, narrow holes. The guidebook provided some hints on where to hit your drive or approach shots. It was a nice day. The clubhouse and dining area was a little outdated, but decent. They have a nice balcony seating area with a small firepit. The event and eating was held outside naturally, the staff working their tail off in the heat re-supplying the food table. Pro-shop staff friendly. There weren't scorecards provided on the carts, so had to get one from the shop. The cart we used was a little shabby, but I guess they had to recruit spares from another source, since it was a large tournament. Course was in nice shape, not decadent, but pretty good. Plenty of parking and restrooms clean and tidy in clubhouse and out on the course. Saw deer family while golfing. Watchout for scat or deer waste (whatever it's called).

We did not expect our wedding to be as perfect as it was. Lynn is one of the event coordinators at the country club and she communicated with us every step of the way and was so helpful with offering suggestions when needed. Our guests raved about the food and the venue. I loved the bathrooms and how there were so many spots to take pictures. We loved this place and are so happy we got married there.

There's a fantastically maintained golf course, commanding views of the Willamette, and the kind of clubhouse you'd expect from a top-end joint founded in 1896. The grounds are carefully manicured, the entrance is grand, the wallpaper alone probably costs more than my whole house, and it reeks of old money. I'm not a member here. Who knows if they'd have me, and I doubt I could afford it. But attending a wedding here, I have to say that I wouldn't mind being one. Aside from the pool, the river access, the terraces and grill overlooking the river, and the fancy indoor areas, it seems like it would be a nice place to recreate, score big business deals, or, in the case of my visit, host a grand wedding. And while in my Portland existence I've never been a fan of dress codes (and I'm not exactly sure what the code is here) I can say that if I paid whatever it costs to be a member here, I'd appreciate the fact that the members and guests were expected to class things up when hanging around the joint. But really what I want, someday, is to play a round here. And now that I have a friend who married in to this community, I look forward to finessing my way in to one. The fairways are impeccable, the sand traps treacherous, and the greens are as they would be in heaven. And I can't discount the fact that the views of the Willamette and the mansions on the opposite side would be a nice escape from the average, overly-casual Portland environment. No, I'm not of the ilk that likes to put on airs or showboat money, but damn if that isn't a nice ass golf course. And that I can appreciate. Oh, and I should mention the food. As far as a catered wedding goes, the food here was well above average. And on top of the great dinner, they brought out sliders, grilled cheese and french fries at 11pm after most of the guests were well sauced. This has to be one of the most brilliant wedding catering ideas ever. Bravo.
