Found this place about 4 years ago through a contact at work. Love it because they take almost everything - tin cans and non CRV glass and plastic - so you don't have to throw it way. U've Even taken brass fitting from home projects and a cracked aluminum car rim I found. Staff is always friendly and helpful and they always have good music playing while you wait and a bottle hand sanitizer for after. I started coming here after the place we went downtown stopped accepting CRV due to covid. I wish I came here sooner! As with most places, do yourself a favor and bring your recycles already sorted. You pull in, unload your recycles into the rolling trash cans they have and bring up to the scales. You pick up your cash on site. Easy process, friendly people, quick process! read more

I'm less concerned with pricing and more focused on being able to recycle all of my plastic and not have it end up in a landfill somewhere. These guys take all plastics #1-7, it's not as chaotic as Modesto Junk Co., it's a pretty simple in and out on a nice day, and the workers are all easy-going. I filled up over 80Lbs of CRV plastic and 35 Lbs of Aluminum cans. I was nervous to show up because I usually have my son to help me out. However, these guys were instantly there to help out without hesitating. From the first minute I got here to the last minute when I had some plastic bags to dispose for me. Took my wifes kool aid bottles here had about 3 30 gal bags. When he saw them he was so surprised at how many he took pic's and called guys over to see them. They had never got so many and his computer was not up to date on this type plastic.. He brought the computer up to date with current rate. (and at his Salida store). These things are great almost double the can rate. SO I check around and he was the only honest one the rest wanted to give me plastic bottle water rate... This company is a great company very friendly people and the owner is a great guy just check in when you get there and he will give you 2.05 a pound believe me its worth it. And as a plus the owner is a patriots fan GO PATS..... Truth be told- I had never been to a recycling center. Just moved to the area, and the city took care of that previously. We had to get rid of our oven after it crapped out on us and had multiple bags of cans and bottles to get rid off. The fact that they took my oven alone, rocked. Steve was super helpful and informative. The place is organized and as clean as you can be for a recycling center. I'll be back! read more

I'm a displaced Santa Rosa fire victim who found herself stranded in Sonora. After a bad experience with Waste Management in Sonora I discovered Go Green!! Love this place. I called and the man with whom I spoke was super friendly and helpful. When I explained my situation he was kind and understanding. When I arrived I was pleasantly suprised to discover the CLEANEST (both facility and people), most efficiant and friendly recycling facility I've ever been too!! read more

I've been coming here since it opened. I checked in the for the first time yesterday though because they only had one person working and there wasn't any trash bins to put in your recyclables to be weighed. They were busy! I'm so glad I did because when you check in they give you $2.05 per pound for cans. NIIIIIICE! They were super busy before they closed at 5 pm. About 10 minutes after waiting the owner came to help out. He apologized for the trash bins everywhere because he said they were missing some staff. I told him no worries, I come all the time and know it's not always like that. He said I was the first one to check in with the $2.05 offer. He was happy that it worked. =0) They take everything with a recycling emblem on the bottom. Shampoo bottles, plastic containers for food, they even take aluminum foil! read more

Quick and easy place to turn in our recyclables. They take their lunches at different times each day depending on when they're not busy, but always post a sign saying when they will be back. You just pull up, unload your bottles and cans (separate them of course) yourself into their gallon trash bins, then drag the buns over to the weigh area and a nice attendant will weigh them for you. Then they hand you a pro out station the weights and prices. Turn that in with your printed name and signature to the window, and get your cash! Super easy! read more

This was my first time recycling. The staff was very friendly & professional & explained everything to me. This was so easy in and out. It pays to recycle! Even a "regular" customer helped me sort my plastics into bins. They also pay you for non CRV plastics like milk jugs!! I'll definitely be back! read more

Go Green is my Go to spot. Always a pleasant time here. Happy they will recycle all plastic. Milk gallons, random containers, hangers literally all plastic. They accept foil paper too which is cool. I wish they recycled plastic bags and cardboard. read more

Just moved to Modesto and not used to California recycling rules and in and outs of the procedure. They were extremely helpful both over the phone and when I showed up. They helped me sort out the various cans and containers, helped unload my van and explained what they would and couldn't take. VERY friendly staff, especially ponytail dude! Conveniently located, quick and easy in and out (unlike Modesto Junk Co!) Small print that they will pay competitors prices with coupon or advertising.......but most people don't know that. I do wish they would pay a higher price for aluminum. read more
