But very, very few ever will and I doubt I will find one of them. I laughed reading a couple other comments, the negative ones. Had to wait to see the doctor? Terrible! Unless you are the earlier patient with a serious problem that he took the time to help. They didn't over book, they took more time than allotted when it was necessary. A doctor that can stay on schedule is what we have now: "what's your problem? Okay, here's a prescription. Next patient" And Dr Mike made it clear that he could not accept Medicare patients because Medicare doesn't pay for anything they consider unnecessary, which is anything beyond taking your vital signs. Those of us approaching Medicare age knew that and planned to pay out of pocket. He was worth it.

Food was tasty, with some creative variations. Nurses and CNAs were quickly responsive to my needs and often proactive in offering help to make me more comfortable, for example, timing tylenol and ibuprofin 45 minutes before my arduous PT visits. The physical and occupational therapists were particularly impressive in personalizing my exercises to prepare me for my home situation, such as getting in and out of a truck, an air taxi, stairs at home. It was important to me to be able to get outside for fresh air every day, and my care team allowed me to wheel myself outside after the third day (with an alarm mat on the seat). The care at St. Elias exceeded my expectations and I have said so to many people since my discharge. Highly recommended. My only question is that they discharged me with no physical therapy exercise sheet and no dietitian's recommendations for increasing protein, etc to help facilitate bone regrowth.

They don't start by pushing medications but rather approach your treatment with a more holistic approach. They start with procedures that are targeted to treat your symptoms. Then they work to get you into physical therapy, massage therapy, etc. to help target the issues that are causing the pain. In terms of employment I would highly recommend this office. The providers are great to work with and they enjoy teaching their staff new things as they believe that the more everyone knows the better the office will run. I would definitely agree! Having people cross trained allows for information to get to the patients more easily as anyone can answer their questions. The work environment is great. Every ortho/neuro evaluation by the doctor was rushed and not completed…read morecorrectly, and the injection was the WORST pain I have ever experienced in my life, and did absolutely nothing to help my chronic pain. I was offered zero sedation for the procedure-- it was only once they'd already done it that they asked why I didn't opt for sedation. Because you didn't offer it!!! Once I got to my car, they called and were scolding me for "walking out," even though the tech had said I was good to go. I was treated like a non-compliant patient the rest of the time I waited. My appointment was also at noon, and they didn't pull me back to start the injection until 1:30. Every experience I have had here was terrible and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I have ZERO idea how they have good reviews. This doctor does not care one bit about his patients and treats everyone like an inconvenience.
