I was surprised by having to listen/watch the sermon on a screen. I didn't read anywhere online that this church was a satellite church. I could have stayed home and watch on my computer or cellphone. Please post online, maybe place a sign somewhere in the front lobby or a window to read from outside.

(Date of writing: 5/17/22). Long Hollow has unfortunately become a shell of it's former self. As a…read morefriend once said, "there's plenty of gatherers, not enough cultivators". The church puts so much time & effort into getting you to come to church and "committing your life to Christ" (which in itself isn't a bad thing) that it forgets an important detail: You have to CULTIVATE the seeds, ensure they grow. In my experience with the church, while they accepted me into their family, the church itself (with a few exceptions) did not help me to grow in my faith, and in fact pushed me away in several instances. The worship experience they put together each week, while glamourous and flashy, doesn't feel real. It feels scripted, and fake. Staff is moved around every other month, you never feel like you can get a personal relationship with anyone because they are always being moved around, not to mention there are so many of them. The one positive I must give to Long Hollow is the facility they have built, and continue to built. It is one of the best in the region, boasting a sanctuary of ~2,000 capacity and an overflow/chapel of ~200 more, a coffee shop, a building dedicated entirely to the students with 2 more sanctuaries, and soon to be a "community" area. In conclusion, whilst Long Hollow does have the physical amenities required to support it's large population, it lacks in several key elements that are absolutely necessary of a church. I cannot in good faith recommend Long Hollow to anyone.

My rating is for the Family Ministry Center, which is an exquisite multi level gym. The FMC is a…read moremature person's answer to Planet Fitness. The annual cost is the same BUT there are 8-12 classes each day with a variety of focuses. The staff are generally welcoming (especially Phil, Debbie, Brenda and Karen). The center is state of the art with several well equipped weight rooms, spin room, teach, ball court used for several activities, and all the machines one could want. Really, it's remarkable. Even the restroom and shower are lovely (byo towels and toiletries). There're even pool and ping pong tables (fierce competition). I'm there four days a week, taking 2 boot camps by Kelly and Shawn, and two different full body classes by Seng. I LOVE THESE WOMEN AND THEIR INGENUITY! They are well prepared, give us challenges, care, and use all types of routines and props to keep us active and engaged. Each class is different each time. There are classes for all fitness levels though you don't have to take any classes. There are also personal trainers for an additional fee. I feel comfortable among other fitness center members. I don't know the percentage who also belong to the church but there's no pressure or questions about one's faith. I am SO thankful for FMC.

I was very impressed that the congregation had either returned to the "pre-covid" method of taking the Lord's supper or possibly had never switched. The now familiar pre-packaged cups with a wafer and fruit of the vine were also available for the more germ-sensitive worshippers. When I moved to the Nashville area, one of the first things I wanted to do was find a good church…read more After trying out a few different places in the area and not having much success, I had almost given up when I saw a sign for Victory Assembly of God from a nearby intersection. I decided to give it a shot, and boy, was I impressed! The first thing that stood out to me was the caliber of music. For a small to medium size congregation, the worship was very good. It was a relatively casual atmosphere, and while I noticed there were plenty of 30-somethings with kids present, there were both younger and older people in the crowd, as well. Several people approached me to introduce themselves or say hello, and the message was refreshingly relevent. What really impressed me, though, was the phone call I got the next day from the pastor to personally thank me for coming and invite me back. I took him up on his offer, and am still attending 2 1/2 years later. If you are looking for a mega church, look elsewhere. But if you want to get to know God on a deeper level in a family style environment, then don't pass up the opportunity to try this place out.
