I was promptly provided with and given instructions on completing through email, all the appropriate forms needed to apply for an interest-free loan, forms to request an upgrade of my gas meter by National Grid, forms to ensure that my purchase was a capital improvement to avoid any sales tax, and the form to consummate a contract. The installers arrived on time on the agreed upon date and because we were within a period of self-quarantining and social distancing, they wore face masks and observed appropriate procedures throughout the installation process. They cleaned up after themselves upon completion of their work and explained to me how the entire system worked. I was charged for two electricians for six total hours of work. In reality, only one did the work…read morewhile the other, a nice teenager, did basically nothing beyond removing a few faceplates and running back and forth for supplies. I find it completely unethical to bill for a full second worker ($125/hr, while the kid probably makes all of $15/hr) under those circumstances. Be cautious and request an itemized breakdown before agreeing to service. That said, the work is done any my electric IS working, no complaints there.

We scheduled an appointment for a representative to come out and provide an estimate for a furnace (and potentially a full HVAC system, including central air and a hot water heater). The technician came to our home and gave us only a verbal quote--nothing in writing. As most homeowners know, it would be unwise to move forward without a written estimate, especially when comparing multiple companies. We specifically needed a written estimate as part of a real estate transaction that had already encountered complications. After the appointment, I followed up and spoke with our service contact, Joe B., who assured me he would email the estimate. Unfortunately, we never received anything, and because of the lack of follow-through and documentation, they unfortunately missed the mark this time. As a result, we've decided to move forward with another plumbing and heating company for this project. It's disappointing, especially given our positive experience in the past, but communication and proper documentation are essential, and this time it just didn't happen.
