I hired S & J Electric - Jonathan who is the owner of this establishment. He came and did the work for me, just to find out that he has done things AGAINS THE CODE/RULES. Cost of his work was $4000 - lots of money for the work that was done wrongly and putting my family at risk. At this time I have to hire people to come and correct the issues that Johnathan caused or created. I have contacted Jonathan and informed him what the inspector said that his work did not pass the inspection and that his work needs to be corrected. At first Jonathan was angry and said that he doesn't want to waste his time coming back to correct the issue, but after while he promissed that he will come and correct his mistakes - no show ups few times. This is very unfortunate as I really liked the Johnathan and his father and have hoped that I have found a good electrician that I can utilize for many projects in years to come. Run away. Quickly. Find another electrician…read more Slingerland Electric installed a new Kohler 20KW Generator for me at a new house. The generator was first used in a power outage on July 4 2022. My lights flickered, my electric stove wouldn't stay on. 4 hours later during gen shutdown, 11 Arc-Flash breakers were destroyed and would not reset. My Siemens whole-house surge protector was reporting a neutral-ground issue. Slingerland was called back in and discovered at my prodding that they had not connected the neutral wire from the generator, only the two power leads. The neutral connection was made and flickering lights disappeared, my electric stove worked. Slingerland denied any responsibility with the neutral wire absent andd damage to my breakers, totalling about $900 in replacement components. Quality workmanship means both doing the job rights, and when an issue occurs, making things right. Slingerland failed miserably at both tasks. if you're looking for a good quality workmanship in your next project - look somewhere else.
