I stopped in for a few cases of beer. Plenty of offstreet parking on busy Oak/Providence. They have a huge selection of beer and tons of different sizes. There is a cold wall fridge in the back with tons of cases and one in the front in case you need just one. Great prices, service and friendly staff. We love Goffs. The variety of beers is great and staff is knowledgeable and honest. My wife went to Goffs and the employee refused to let her carry a case of beer without his help. There aren't enough vendors like this anymore. Service was friendly enough but was told by my beer drinking friends that I definitely overpaid here for the Sam Adams 1/2 case that I bought. Service was fine, parking is easy, and the location is convenient. Be more informed about the prices here, if you are counting your pennies. read more

I have been a happy customer of Goffs for 15 years, however after today I will never walk back in there unless it is to receive an apology from the ignorant sexist man that was working today. Long story short, I put $5 in the lotto machine, and it took my money. This is after I just spent $50 playing on it. I explained to the worker what happened and he proceeded to tell me this machine would never take my money (because computers never have issues, right?). That being the first thing he said to me, I can only take it that he is calling me a liar. He printed out the transaction history, and it stated on the last transaction that there was an error on sell. When I pointed that out to him, he very nasty replied - well it doesn't say it didn't give you a ticket. I replied - no but I'm telling you it didn't give me a ticket. At that time he said - I will give you your money back, but only this one time. I replied, I would like my ticket, will you stand here and watch as I try to play again. NO. No? What store will refuse money? Goffs, because he didn't want to be proven wrong, computers do fail. At this time, I left my beer, took the $5 and said ok, well you have just lost a customer. I turned to walk out, and he proceeded to call me an idiot. That's right, the man working there implied I was a liar, was proven wrong, refused to ensure his product, lost a customer of 15 years and reacted by calling ME, a women that just proved you wrong, an idiot. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a store. To this "sales" man, while I'm not 100% sure that error on sell, does in fact mean that a ticket won't print (even with my 15 years in IT), I am 100% sure that if the same happened to a man in your store, you would not have talked to him or outright disrespected him, the way you did to me today. read more

Up until friday night December 16th I was a goffs customer. I will never go back to goffs again. On friday night i stopped in to get 3 cases of beer. After a while i decided on victory hop ranch. Jawn. And slyfox 360 ipa. I went to purchase the slyfox rang up as $42 an change. I advised the clerk that the sign where slyfox was loacted read $35.00. And showed him, he replied its not the same beer. To whick i replied he should change the signage. He said i dont make the beer prices the distours do. Fair enough. I than choose a slyfox hella larger sign stating it was 32.99 a case. Rang up at 38 and change. The clerk once again told me its the wrong sign with the wrong price, not our fault. I told him that they are advertising faluse prices. He said what they ring up as is the price. Clearly the clerk was not understanding what i was pointing out to him. Instead of looking for another case i decided to get the Jawn and hop ranch. The sign for the hop ranch said 20 a 12 pack. Or 18.00 for two. 18x18=36. I even asked the cleck if the price was right. He said yes.The case rang up 42 and change. So once again the price was higher then advertise. The store cleck said oh well the price is what rings up. I dont own the store.... buyer bewear. Seems like a nice little scam they have running.. If you choose to shop here please make sure the price matches sign. And yes i am aware tax is not included in the adversed price. Tax is only 6% in pa. It would not cause a 3 to 4 dollar increase per case.. read more
