The manager claims the store refused to release my wife's packages because they were following UPS's packag-release protocol. I do not believe that to be true for two reasons. First, the email UPS sent states that a customer only needs the tracking number of the package in order to pick up a package addressed to someone else. Second, my wife received a call from the person who is in charge of the UPS distribution center in Monroe, and he stated that UPS has no policy that would have prohibited the store releasing the packages to me and that he had never heard of a store refusing to release a package under those circumstances. In addition, nothing the manager of the store states in her response excuses the fact the store employees and the manager I spoke to on the phone were rude, uncaring, and never even mentioned a release form. The manager cared so little at the time that she did not even intend to speak to me on the phone. I only got to speak to her because the employee in the store was speaking to her on speakerphone and I interrupted. The manager was very surprised and clearly annoyed when I interrupted and she had no choice but to speak to me. A manager who is unwilling to speak to an unhappy customer epitomizes poor customer service.
