Ups and Downs. Ups:…read moreThe food is good, it's kinda trust and don't judge a book by its cover. But for starters the grilled cheese is like as thin as an average pointer finger which is like actually crazy. The sprite was a little sketchy, I mean it's kinda worse than what you could get at a gas station and a little more expensive. It was $4 and there's not even refills, I would bring my own water if I were you. The vibe is nice though, like a 60s diner that just felt welcoming and I couldnt tell if there was music or the vibe was making music be in my head. Downs: This might just be a me problem but every time I order chicken from there I barf, and when I don't order chicken I don't barf. The chicken is good, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't risk it for the biscuit. I really had to go to and there is only a men's bathroom with all the stalls and all, and an all gender bathroom with a single toilet. My friend and I go to the bathroom, when we got there we realized we had to wait. There are seats outside of the bathrooms and the like teenage girls are looking at us like we are nasty creatures. The teenagers were eating there and one of them scoffed really loudly before disrespectfully telling us that there is a line. I hate this, there is seats that people use to preserve bathroom spots, this ought to be fixed with like a special sign. Honestly, they were so disrespectful I'm too nervous to go back. But there needs to be a women's/girl's bathroom, seriously.

Dining room was clean and there was vinegar on each table for the fries too! Couldn't ask for any more.

Still great, ownership has changed hands. Maple sprinkles just as good. I really hate to say this…read morebut I think lake Champlains ice cream the pure Vermont maple is now the most creamy and strongest maple flavor ice cream (I know it's not a creemee). Palmer lane still has a great creemee. I've heard from a friend that cold hollow maple creemee might be even stronger maple flavor

Curiosity won, and I pulled over--turns out, it wasn't your typical ice cream shop. Around here, they call it a creemee--a local twist I quickly picked up on as I listened to the locals eagerly waiting for their names to be called along with their favorite flavors. Naturally, I had to go with the maple creemee. I mean, when in Vermont, how can you not try something maple? One bite in, and I was sold. It's not quite like traditional soft-serve--the texture is smoother, silkier on the tongue, and the maple flavor was rich without being overly sweet. I also couldn't resist grabbing a maple soda and some maple candy while I was at it. (Hey, don't judge--did I mention how long that hike was?) I only wish I had the stomach to try more flavors; judging by the one I had, I can only imagine how delicious the rest must be. If you find yourself wandering the back roads of Vermont, keep your eyes peeled for a creemee stand--you're in for a real treat.
