We popped in on 27th December expecting it to be quiet between the two big dates of Christmas and New Year but it was absolutely buzzing in there. Worried that we might not get we waited in a small queue at the door but only a couple of minutes later everyone was seated. I had no idea there were three stories and despite the restaurant being full the service was impeccable. Every dish was freshly made and brought to your table which made a nice difference to other serve yourself buggers we've been to before. The food portions were good but not overwhelming so you could taste multiple dishes without leaving any waste. The price was around £24 each which included a couple of soft drinks too which we couldn't believe given the amount of food we actually ate! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!!

They do all usual favourites sweet and sour, black bean etc although I haven't tried them myself. I went for Dim Sum and Crispy Pork the first time and was astonished at the quality. The crispy pork is as good as you get on Gerard Street in London and the Cheung Fun were heavenly. In fact they are both the best I have tried outside of Chinatown and before then Hong Kong. The second time I got a take away to share with friends and again all dishes were of the highest caliber, everyone agreed. We had the Singapore Vermicelli, Poached Chicken, Salt and Chilli Squid, Pak Choi and garlic and the wonderfully named Three Roasties a selection of Roast Duck, Char Siu Pork and Crispy Pork. sigh just fantastic. The restaurant is masked from this area by a lacquered screen depicting birds, flowers and the countryside. The restaurant itself is fairly large with a good variety of tables to suit any sized party, round tables near the window. The décor is dominated on the wallpaper and pelmets by Chinese Dragons and framed small ornately designed teapots dotted around the walls. The menu is vast for both drinks and particularly the food, with a variety of set meals for two, three, four or five persons. What is staggering though is the price, on average about £10 for a main course, with some much more. The set meals represented good value for money though, but we didn't fancy the combination of dishes. We ordered three dishes and a portion of rice. For the money the food needed to an excellent and we weren't disappointed, it was exquisite - beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and very tasty. The mixed vegetables and straw mushrooms were cooked to perfection. A brilliant meal, but the prices may prevent us being regular visitors, which is a shame, food is rarely cooked this well!
