I wanted to get into skate skiing, but had no idea what to look for so I asked the older gentleman who worked there, Jay, if they had a pair that would be a good fit. Jay picked out these blue atomic RC9s and told me they were skate skis. Then he picked out a pair of boots, and poles. Ignorant at the time, I believed him and bought them. When I found out they were not skate skis and contacted the owner, Rob, about returning them, he explained that their no return/exchange policy did not require them to purchase them back from me. I have been scammed by NU2U and as a college student, their actions are financially felt.

I loved that I could go up and down the aisles and pick out what I wanted myself. I was hoping to find some CCI for my picky Walther, but came up short. No worries as I have another week and a half to collect ammo. The clerk helping me was super friendly! I am not sure I am ever coming back as I am currently on the cross-country trip of my lifetime, but I will definitely look for the chain along my route. Pros: - friendly - well-stocked - clean restrooms Cons: - much smaller than the Utah location - parking is tight at this location (we are in a huge RV) - firearms are still to your states' red tape (it's silly when a Constitutional RIGHT is trumped by state laws instead of governed by federal)

We were new to exploring the Laramie and Wyoming area but Basecamp took great care of us! We were…read morelooking to kayak in a nearby national park but all rental options required you pickup and deliver the kayaks as well. Unfortunately we didn't have the necessary means to transport a standard kayak with our vehicle, beyond that most places were asking for a per hour fee, which is hard to plan with when you don't know how long you will be out. Some flexibility is nice! Not only does basecamp carry inflatable kayaks (they worked well! And easy to transport in a bag) they charge per 24 hours at a very reasonable rate. Best we found in our research. The owner was very charming and guided us to a more off path lake to explore. It was beautiful!! Upon return, they treated us with a freeze pop and small (so cute) Nalgene water bottle. Next time we go out we will definitely be visiting basecamp for our adventuring!

Most interesting and notable about this place to me is their wide array of bags, packs and kits all made in house. I am on a quest to buy as local and domestic as possible.
