I was so excited when my package arrived, however, the excitement didn't last long. As I opened the box and got a whiff of what was inside all I could do was think to myself ~please dear gawd don't let this be what the fragrance oil smells like~but to my horror it was. As I opened the bottle and took a sniff all I could smell was industrial strength public bathroom cleaner....that's it....i couldn't believe it! I was almost afraid to apply it to my skin but i did because I wanted to give it a fair chance thinking maybe once on the skin and when it settles it will smell better but unfortunately it did not. I knew when ordering it may smell nothing like what is was inspired by but I figured even if it doesn't smell like it should I'm sure it will still smell nice and I'll wear it. I can't believe this is sold.....it's horrific smelling. I've smelled many fragrances in my lifetime but never one as dreadful as this. Of course there are fragrances that don't appeal to us but they certainly don't smell like a cleaning fluid. However, the tracking information only shows that a shipping label has been created, and USPS has not yet received the package. I understand that delays can happen, especially in online retail. In-store, the employee gave great recommendations based on what we were looking for. We were pretty indecisive, but she was incredibly patient and helpful the whole time. The fragrance oils we purchased are long-lasting, and some of them have very strong, rich scents (in the best way). They're also super affordable, which makes them even more worth it. They're definitely worth the hype. My online order did arrive with a bit of leakage (possibly due to the winter storms), but the store responded almost immediately and fixed the situation without any hassle. The packaging with the bubble wrap was well done but the product leaked all over the inside. The big rollerball had leaked a lot of the product out and was an mess. The other bottle was just a little flip top plastic bottle that you would put lotions in. Not impressed with the bottles. My girlfriend who has a very small business compared to these guys uses nice little glass bottles with squeeze tops. The perfume itself is just okay. The Gucci smells good but it's not like the real stuff. The Lauren perfume is not even remotely close to the original. And I know I still have a small amount in the original bottle. It is extremely strong and I would probably use it as a room freshener. I wore it and definitely won't put it near my face it's that strong. I've tried other places and no one can get the Lauren even remotely close so stop trying. Bottom line shift in a nice box but leaked all over you need to do better on your bottles. read more

The Gold Star "dupe" of Musk Ravageur, for example, is incredibly close to the Frederic Malle original. $12 vs. several hundred! I'll go with Gold Star!
