Mountain Road Animal Hospital is where I take my 2 1/2 year old Yorkshire Terrier. The staff is…read moreincredibly friendly and kind. The hospital has several vets that work there and Angus, my dog, has seen more than one (though you can ask to always see the same person as well) and each vet he has seen has been kind, gentle and loving. They are the ones who neutered him and they called to check up on him a day or two after I had brought him home. He also got an eye infection and they treated him for that and also called to follow up with how he was doing. I have never felt pressured to pay for anything I don't need. In fact, Angus has allergies and while we discussed the various choices I had, I was made aware of how expensive allergy testing was and told that it was entirely optional and informed of the drawbacks to having it done. I had a dog growing up and we took him to a different local vet and had issues with them attempting to charge for expensive services and bully and guilt us into paying for things we simply could not afford so when I got Angus I was very nervous about finding a good vet and I am so glad that I chose this place. They even tell you that they love to get a picture of your pet and they include it in their computer file. I have called their office and had the receptionist remark about how cute Angus was when she pulled up the file. These kinds of extra touches are appreciated and you just know that the staff cares about your pet and no one there is looking to see how much money they can sucker out of you. The office seems to be busy every time I go but I have never had to wait long. The vets have always done their utmost to keep Angus calm and have treated him so well that I wouldn't even dream of going anywhere else. Definitely the place to go if you have a pet!

I was nervous about it all, but a sudden death in the family left me no other choice. 4 Paws gave me such peace and confidence the moment I walked in. Both of my girls were able to have a separate room per request, and every day the staff posted pictures of them on Facebook. When the two of them got home today, they both passed out and were snoring on the couch, something i rarely see and hear from my active dogs! Obviously well exercised, something I really stress as a Border Collie owner. They are worth every single penny, and our now our forever dog boarders!

When my dog comes back from there, he's so tired he can barely walk. This beats boarding kennels where your dog is caged all day long. The only reason I give them a 3 out of 5, instead of a 5, is that they seem a bit expensive. About 15$ for daycare, and 30$ for a full day and overnight stay.

The best vet at the Moncton Animal Hospital is, was, and ALWAYS will be Dr. Frank Cook. I have…read moretaken all of my cats and dogs to him from the time I was in high school, and I am now 42 years old. There is no other vet I trust more than him. He has never steered me in the wrong direction with any of my animals, or pushed to do any unnecessary treatments or procedures. He has always wanted to do what is best for the animals, it wasn't about the almighty dollar for him like it is for most of them. His bedside manner is fantastic. He is so kind and caring, and my pets always felt at ease in his presence. I wish there were more out there like Dr. Cook. There are other vets at this clinic that would make me give it a MUCH lower rating.

I have never felt pressured to buy tests or procedures that we didn't feel would be completely helpful or necessary (I've had this problem elsewhere), which makes me feel a lot of confidence and trust in them. They have a wonderful, calming environment, that makes both my pets, and myself happy to be there! Most recently, the care they gave our beloved senior Rottweiler, Sam, was exactly the love and compassion that he deserved. They helped us bring his long life to a peaceful end, and went above and beyond to bring us all comfort, in particular, veterinary assistant Mikaela! I absolutely recommend this clinic to everyone!
