This particular store only carries items handcrafted or made in Spain-- you will not find cheap Asian goods here that break, lose gems, etc. They also carry a handful of pre-made items that they've constructed such as long necklaces out of leather ropes and beads, rings, hat pins, bracelets and more. The pre made items especially are a good value; you can get a 30" long necklace, very modern and cool with sterling silver beads and perhaps stone ones as well, about 19-30 euros and handcrafted by their staff. This was by far the busiest bead store on the street when i visited today; they have a number system, so be sure to grab one near the door when you come in if it is crowded. And, much like at meal time in Spain, take your time once you are being served and have all your questions and curiosities entertained. They carry beads, beading fastenings, bead closures, leather rope, leather ribbon, sterling silver beads, glass and stone beads, and finished goods among other detailed items. If you are looking for something unique or hard to find for beading, you should try here first.

There is a ton of staff manning every station, perfumes, designer bags, women's wear, men's wear, shoes and sneakers, dresses, suits, mens separates, kids etc. they have hair salon within, honestly I was hot, there was a group of female pickpockets that were roaming inside so keep your head on a swivel, busy hectic space, close quarters-- prime time for pickpockets. El Corte Inglés is Spain's only remaining traditional national department store chain, pretty cool. I love the clothing brands they offer here. At first, I thought all of their clothes would be super expensive but actually they have a lot of reasonably priced, good quality pieces! The first floor has some popular bag brands like Longchamp, Bimba y Lola, and more. Honestly, I wished we had something like this in the U.S. 9 floors of goodies!

It is a very welcoming market, no fee to enter and you have a mix of stores (mini boutiques of the retro), booths, and ever a covered space with old brick ovens from early years of last century. People who frequent this market look pretty posh, nicely dressed, hair all done...it is nice to sit by the tables next to the food trucks (really cute small and nicely decorated trucks) and do some people watching while having some very local vermut.

They did have refills, but I decided to go with a small leather journal with a gorgeous "V" embossed on the front. It cost me just under $20USD, and for the quality I'd consider that a very fair price. The shop is very small but they have lots to offer. If you have any interest in stationary, like me, you could spend hours going through everything. If I ever find myself in back Barcelona, I'll wander over to this small shop again!

Spain is the place for leather So I did my research and really liked their Slang Collection which I viewed on their website. I was greeted upon entering and proceeded to the back of the store to view it. There are several lovely pieces for men and women. I tried numerous leather crossbody, found too heavy. The Slang really laid right on my frame. The colors for fall are beautiful: deep burgundy, stone, khaki and black. I purchased the crossbody I saw online plus a nice wallet. Total cost @75 euros. They do sell luggage, scarves and other accessories. I was also given a VAT form to get tax refund on my way back to NY. Nice customer service: was told how to clean my bag( baby wipes, go figure!)

In July of 2016 I purchased several items. But this was May. Not only was the selection limited, but the discounts were mostly 30 percent. I did see a beautiful jean jacket with an evil eye broche. I would have purchased it. But the medium one fit me tight. They didn't have a large one. Desigual runs small. If you go when the big sales are going on in the summer in Spain, I recommend you visit. Maybe they'll have more merchandise and better prices.

I like Desigual's colourful clothes, but the pricing is somewhat harsh to me, so I was really happy that I discovered this outlet and could buy a few new pieces for my boyfriend and myself 50 or even 70 percent off. The highlight of the shopping experience was that Desigual is running a promotion in Summer 2016, and as our purchase exceeded a certain value, we were treated to a 90 minute complimentary boat trip. Luckily enough, there were still spots for the next day, so we could take our only chance to use our vouchers. I find the idea just brilliant and added a really nice memory to our holiday in Barcelona. Unfortunately I can also report about their exchange process now - I did not check one of the items well enough and only noticed at the hotel that it was a bit damaged by the 50 percent off badge. There were no other dresses like that in my size, so I took another one - everything ran quickly and flawlessly.
