At lunchtimes there is a small sit-down restaurant area to take the weight off your feet during a busy shopping day. Clean and basic, the service is bustling and always with a smile, and your meal is served fresh from the front-counter suppplies. This is designated as a Chinese take-away and certainly there are plenty of generic curry dishes on the menu. I have a great fondness for their chips and curry sauce - it's one of my favourite Comfort Foods! There is the usual fare of fish, pies, burgers and suchlike all served with a good dollop of chips. Great value, hot and tasty, can't go wrong with a Pangs take-out!

These days is a brightly lit, clean and generically decorated chippy run by a Chinese family, so it has the added benefit of an extensive Chinese take-away menu as well. Their chips are great - fresh, fluffy and properly cooked. The portions are good-sized, and the fish is always fresh. A portion of chips and curry sauce with a pea fritter along with battered jumbo sausage and chips will come to under a tenner and be worth it! (Not that I'm saying that's our regular order junk food of choice..but..have been known to indulge!) On the Chinese side of things, their Prawn Curry is highly reccomended. It might lack the finesse and extra delicacy of a fancy restaurant curry but for a take-out it's really tasty and hits the spot. Good value, good grub, friendly service.
