I had been attempting to scale the trees myself and realized it was an impossible task. My neighbor Maurine recommended Alex Christiansen to me who owns ATC Tree Services. He came out and gave me a free consultation and then about a month later scheduled me for a couple days to take out 4 trees. The lift they used was narrow enough to get thru my driveway and to the back of the house. Alex mostly does the logistics but jumps in here and there to help out this two person crew. My only complaint was that maybe I wasn't clear enough that I wanted the off my lawn which I had to deal with myself. I also couldn't have paid for another day. But for 3K it was a great deal considering the massiveness of these trees.

The biggest problem of tree work is that you don't really realize everything that needs to be done until the quote is in and they start. These guys understand that and go way out of their way to get the whole job done, the right way. Their attention to detail and clean up is off-the-charts. Paul is an outstanding arborist and gave us a lot of consultation on other trees that were not happy, teaching me things that I didn't know to do to save a tree. Let me put it this way. They were so good I paid them $500 extra. Can't wait to have them back.
