I wanted a massage today. I used to get a massage about every month or two, but haven't had one in a couple years now. There are many options in and around Cumming, Suwanee, and Johns Creek, Georgia. So, I looked at Yelp reviews to find a place worth going to. Golden Massage is closest to my home, but all the Yelp reviews are 8-10 years old. What's up with that? Despite more recent reviews of other massage places, I decided to do the local community a favor and try Golden Massage and give you all a current review. So, here goes. I had a one-hour full body deep tissue massage. Cost was $70 plus tip. My masseuse was a lovely, fit young oriental gal named Sala (maybe Sarah, but she pronounced her name Sala, like Sah-lah). It was really an all-around excellent experience. Sala asked how firm I wanted my massage, and asked a few more times during my massage if I wanted harder or softer. She was very pleasant and had a good sense of humor. She was talkative as long as I wanted to engage with her, but quietly went about her business when I decided to just silently enjoy my massage. She was very thorough and used great pressure wherever she could feel tight muscles. And when I asked her to hit specific spots where I wanted more work, she went right back to those spots. My private room was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and had nice relaxing music quietly playing. My massage lasted 55 min, but that's really normal for a 1-hour massage at most places I've been. I think the masseuse needs and deserves a few minutes to rest and relax their hands between customers. One more thing. I read several negative reviews of other massage businesses that complained about their masseuse pushing, or even demanding a bigger tip than the reviewer gave them. That did not happen with Sala. She was fun, pleasant, but most importantly, she gives you a great massage. I highly recommend Golden Massage and I will definitely return there. read more

They give great massages, if you can keep the therapists in the room and paying attention. Yelling in Chinese through the door, leaving to answer the phone, even though there is some one at the desk, answering their own cell phone, then cutting you shortt on time and apologizing because they have another client in the waiting room. Called this store to double check if they still did foot massages. On the phone they said yes so I drove over and walked in and they tried to make me do a more expensive massage and I said I called about the foot massage and they said they don't do the foot massage so I walked out. Went to another massage place. read more

This place is a scam. They apparently don't have anyone to do foot massages but will be available for a body massage.

This place is heaven. I have been several times on a Friday afternoon after work to de- stress. The foot massages are very strong- but I like that. The place is clean, professional and so reasonably priced. Tip well people. And they prefer cash. read more

We visited Sunflower Massage for our 10th anniversary. I had wanted a couples massage, the room was not dim enough or relaxing enough, therapist had to leave to check who came in door in middle of my massage. I got the all over massage, it hurt at times, not sure if that is good or bad, she said good, almost to point where I could cry. The day after I was still very, very sore. Husband got the massage and the reflexology. He said it was okay, but nothing spectacular! As we were paying to leave we were asked to make sure we leave a tip! I wasn't very impressed with the massage so didn't feel led to leave one but the girl insisted, do you have cash for our tip or here is your receipt back....I find that to be rather rude...would have left more if she had insisted so much and it would have felt good and relaxing, instead I felt like I've been beat up and run over by a truck, my neck, back etc. Have had a better, more relaxing experiences elsewhere. read more

I didn't know what to expect when I did a walk in foot and leg massage .. But it was truly an awesome experience! Worth every cent!

Great massage but they burn incense in the shop. Smells like smoke. I thought at first someone was smoking cigarettes. Gave me a headache. What a shame. I would go here all the time but can't stand the smell. read more

Very professional, well decorated, and friendly staff. Been here a number of times and enjoyed every visit. Cindy speaks english well and My wife and I enjoy visiting with her and her staff. Don't leave without learning about and having a foot detox. If my wife or I have sore muscles we gladly make the 30+ mile drive to get a good massage. read more
