This is a peak of address that was ordered three times the size it should've been and she worked her magic and it was beautiful!

Excellence! Olga was a dream to work with! My blue dress was difficult, but she did a fantastic job. I can't say enough great things about her. So nice a treats you like family! Thank you so much, Olga. I got so many compliments on my dress and how it fit.

    Altered wedding dress

Olga did the most amazing job transforming my mothers wedding dress into the dress of my dreams. All staff are so lovely and get things done in a timely manner. I live in New York but often bring anything I need altered here when I am in the area. Absolutely recommend for everything!

Olga is AMAZING to work with. I met her through the bridal shop I bought my wedding gown at head over heels in Mashpee. The process was simple, and she had a way to make me and my family calm throughout the whole alteration process. She did an amazing job altering my gown, creating the perfect simple and easy to use bustle. Would absolutely recommend golden needle for all alteration needs!! Thank you!!

Olga and her team took a dress that was at least three sizes too big and made it fit me so perfectly that I had to be careful not to eat too much the day before my wedding! She reserved the original integrity of the dress, but took in the bodice, shortened the straps, adjusted the hem (on two layers of organza, a base layer, and two layers of tulle), and put in a bustle... all for less than the price that another seamstress quoted me. On top of that, she made me feel special and welcome every time I visited. It's nerve-wracking to hand over your wedding dress for someone to cut into, but with Olga, don't hesitate! You won't regret it.

Olga is a master at her craft! I bought my wedding dress at a sample sale at Modern Vintage Bridal in Sandwich, MA. The dress was a few sizes too big, so the shop owner recommended bringing it to Olga prior to finalizing the sale (amazing customer service!). I nervously brought the dress to Olga, she didn't blink an eye. Instead, she said, "no problem" and had me pinned into the dress in less than 5 minutes; magical. After a few fittings the dress fit perfectly. She also steamed the veil I borrowed from my friend. She ensured the heirloom was properly cared for. Thank you for your kindness and care, Olga!

Cape Cod Alterations - Wonderful customer service for my wedding dress alterations!!

    Cape Cod Alterations

I would not recommend Cape Cod Alterations…read more When we were shopping around for alterations for my daughter's wedding gown, we chose Cape Cod Alterations because we were quoted approximately $260. The gown ultimately needed to be taken in and hemmed. After the first fitting, the dress had been taken in so much under the arms that it was painful for my daughter to wear, requiring an additional trip to have it corrected. When we returned on the date they told us the gown would be ready, it was not finished. As a result, we had to cancel a planned trip to New York so that we could pick it up the following day. When we returned the next day, the fit issue had been corrected, but a sharp piece of boning had been left protruding from the dress, requiring yet another return visit. What was especially frustrating was being told that we needed to pick up the gown quickly because they had had it for too long, were busy with prom season, and did not have room for it--despite the fact that the repeated delays and corrections were not our fault. When I finally picked up the dress, I was shocked to be charged $900. When I questioned the price, I was told the alterations were more extensive than originally anticipated. While I understand that costs can increase, going from a quoted $260 to $900 was unexpected and, in my opinion, unreasonable. The final disappointment came one week before the wedding. My daughter, who lives out of state, came home and tried on the gown only to discover visible chalk marks all along the hemline, and the dress was still too long. We immediately brought it back and asked whether the chalk marks could be removed and the dress shortened to the marked line. We were told they were understaffed that week and could not help us. After paying $900 for alterations, we were left scrambling one week before the wedding and had to find another seamstress willing to rush the work. That cost us an additional $550. The entire experience was stressful, expensive, and disappointing. Multiple return visits, missed deadlines, quality-control issues, a much higher-than-expected final bill, and the refusal to address problems discovered just before the wedding have left us extremely dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I would not use Cape Cod Alterations again.

I dropped off several items to the Quaker Meetinghouse location including my husbands newly purchased and tailored suit December 5th 2017. When I picked up my dry cleaning all appeared to be well as I have always experienced great service. When I took apart the bundle I noticed my husbands suit was not there but a suit with the same color and designer was in its place. Along with a white dress shirt that did not belong to us. I immediately brought the suit and shirt back to the cleaners and stated this was not mine and I was missing a navy blue thin pinstriped suit. The lady at the desk stated that she had tagged in my order herself and there was no possible way that there could be a mistake. The suit I received was in fact navy blue however completely wrong size and was not pinstriped. The lady told me to contact the manager and provided me with his number. I called explained my situation. Nathan Watson told me he would make this a priority and get back to me. I did not hear from him. I had to leave five messages before getting him on the phone where he informed me that they could not locate my suit and that someone had claimed the suit I had gotten by mistake. He instructed me to go to a store location and file a claim which I did on April 23rd of 2018. I provided my credit card receipt for the suit showing when and where it was purchased and how much it cost. On May 23rd I called and asked for a status report on my claim and spoke with Mike who knew about the situation but still had to call me back once he was up to speed. When he called me back I was extremely surprised to hear that this had to be investigated. I thought this was already done. I was told this situation has never happened and the clothes that come into the store are throughly tagged. They would need to cross reference any other customers that dropped a suit that day. Again I was told by Nathan this was done already. I asked if he could check his other locations for my suit I was then told that was impossible my suit would have gone to another location as the clothes are tagged before leaving the store. So now almost 6 months later I'm back at the starting point. I am looking for resolution not problems. Either my suit or the money to replace it. I did all they have asked of me. I have had to repeatedly call them when they state they will get back to me. They have 7 locations how hard can it be to check if my suit mistakenly went to another location or replace it? I'm not trying to be a jerk but this is now almost June! What if this were a wedding dress???

Bassy saved my wedding dress and my wedding day!…read more I had originally gone to another tailor recommended by the boutique where I purchased my strapless princess gown. Unfortunately, the work done at the other tailor's shop left my dress butchered. When I realized something was wrong with the original tailoring, it was two months before my wedding. I was distraught because I didn't think a new tailor would take me due to the limited time before my wedding and it being right before bridal and prom season. However, someone recommended I contact Bassy and I'm so grateful for their rec! Bassy listened to my concerns regarding my dress and what the other tailor had planned to do to it, advised me to take back my dress straight away, and booked me for an appointment ASAP. Within a week Bassy had me in her shop to assess all the damage that had been done by the previous tailor: (1) the hem was uneven by inches; (2) the train was lopsided; (3) the bustle was just a loop and a button that would be visible and unsecure; (4) the bodice was taken in so much that three people were needed to zip me up, which (5) left the zipper of my dress straining and puckering; (6) so much of the bust was trimmed away that my chest was exposed whenever I moved; and (7) they made a sash instead of the custom shawl I ordered for my ceremony. The worst part about the original tailoring work is that so much fabric was cut away there was barely any fabric left to correct the shoddy work. My dress was in really horrible shape and I knew I wouldn't be able to find or order another dress in time for my wedding. Despite the multiple problems with my dress, Bassy assured me she would find solutions for the above issues and she did! Bassy evened out the dress' hem by rehemming it and removing a portion of its petticoat to ensure it kissed the floor evenly. For the train, she adjusted it so it would be symmetrical and less oblong. It looked gorgeous trailing behind me as I walked down the aisle. The bodice was a tricky fix, but Bassy executed it perfectly! To expand the bodice, she needed extra fabric and found it within the seam allowance of the bodice's panels. She undid every panel, let out a little bit of fabric from each, and carefully stitched the bodice back up so that each panel was even and proportional. She was able to expand the bodice while also making it look like it hadn't been deconstructed. Bassy's work allowed me to properly breath while wearing my dress and my mother was able to zip me up by herself with no trouble! Bassy also created a custom shawl for me that looked like something Audrey Hepburn would wear! The attention to detail is so incredible! Bassy made the shawl so there was a slight curve in the front that elegantly hugs my collar bone. I love this shawl so much I plan to continue wearing it for special events. The most incredible fix Bassy made to my dress is the bust. I thought I'd have to wear my shawl the entire wedding. Instead, she came up with the incredible idea to build up the bust of my dress with additional fabric. The original bust had a cat eye neckline with draping across it. Bassy was able to expand the bust above my chest and next to my underarms to give me more coverage. She did this by building up fabric that mimics the original bustline's shape. The final result is beautiful! No one would ever know that the work Bassy did was not part of the dress' original design. I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing and transformative work Bassy did to my dress, her professionalism, her expert advice, and her direct and honest communication. She always set realistic expectations and provided alternative solutions that would not compromise the integrity of my dress or its overall style. Bassy is also just a lovely person to be around. I was really sad about the state my dress was left in by the previous tailor. With each visit to Bassy's (and she booked me for as many as needed to get my dress perfect), I felt better and more confident. Bassy saved my dress, my wedding, and my peace of mind. THANK YOU BASSY!!!

Bassy hemmed several pairs of pants, took in the waist on others, and completely altered a vintage dress for me. The dress needed extra room, and she expertly removed the belt and expanded the side seams so seamlessly that you would never be able to tell any alterations were made. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are absolutely unbelievable. Bassy is truly a talented artist, and her work speaks for itself.
