I saw one that was not on the cusp of burnt, purchased it. The Server took my money, gave my change at the same time turning her back to me, and walking off. As I was pocketing my change, musing on whether this was rude or not, I was distracted enough to accidentally leave my purchased cake, in its bag, on the pay counter. Oops. I had a guest at home (hence the need for cakes), so 'popped' back in a couple of hours when guest had left in order to retrieve the purchased cake. I discovered, the Deli had, instead of keeping the sold cake aside, SOLD my cake. That was not too bad, but they offered me a replacement from their 'over-baked' Eccles that still remained - clearly people did not want THOSE cakes either. Cheeky. I thought it was naughty to sell MY cake before they had used up their own stock.
