My kids and I adore this shop! If you're into crystals and/or sensitive to energy, I highly recommend you stop in. The energy in here is truly impeccable. You can tell the owner regularly cleanses and charges the crystals. The shop is jam packed with crystals and lots of info on them. What a cute little shop! I stopped into Golden just to wander around for a few hours and of course the first place that called to me was Golden Rock Shop. They had a number of crystals available for purchase all at a reasonable price. I appreciated that the clerk offered to cleanse the crystals for me upon checkout. I'm not sure any shop I have ever visited has ever done that for me. There wasn't too much offered apart from the stones themselves which should be expected of a Rock Shop, I suppose. I grabbed some Colorado crystals, since I was in Colorado and found a lovely Charuite ring that may not actually be silver as I have found it to leave my finger a bit discolored. No big deal, note to self, take it off from time to time. As I said, the prices were decent and there were a number of options to choose from as well as information cards with mostly each crystal. This place is really clean and welcoming. It's doesn't have the disorganized hippy feel like a lot of places with similar inventory. There was no dust on the shelves and it smells nice and not overly earthy. Everyone was really friendly and they have a great inventory of a stones, jewelry and more. Purchased a few crystals here on 12/1/23. The total came to $66. I handed the salesperson a one hundred dollar bill. She said that the store was small, that they only went to the bank once or twice a week and that they didn't take too many $100 bills. As she began counting bills in her cash drawer I asked her if she could break it. She did not respond. Instead she continued to berate me for offering her the bill as payment and actually ordered me to never bring a $100 bill back into their store for payment. At this point I told her that she was upsetting me, that she should never chastise a customer as she was doing. I told her I have owned several retail businesses in my career and that her rude service was unacceptable. I told her if they didn't like to take cash, they should have a sign that says so. As she gave me $34 in change I told her I would not be shopping there again and asked for the owner's business card which she refused to give me. As I was leaving the store she called me a "jerk" out loud in front of the other customers in the store. I wheeled around and said, "Did you just call me a jerk?" to which she lied and said no. Will never set foot in the store again and highly recommend you don't either. read more

I got a metal sliver into my thumb when looking at one of their rings. They basically said they couldn't help me and said we can give you a band aid. A bit more caring and understanding with lots of apologies and maybe a slight discount would have been a better way to handle it. It cost me over $50 to get the right tweezers and tools to get it removed. Ruined my day dealing with it. read more

I've dropped in this shop a few times during trips to Colorado. Finally stopped in to make a purchase because I knew exactly what I wanted: amethyst, celestine, and quartz. This shop has seriously filled up quite a bit since its opening and looks absolutely magnificent with the increased stock and improved floor design. It was an absolute treat to see the tourmaline and quartz mineral specimens that had just been unwrapped. Once I made my selections and headed for the counter, Heather smudged them for me and gently wrapped everything separately; we also had a very interesting conversation about the classes the shop offers, the Evergreen location, life in Colorado, and John of God. I love this shop. Will be back. Very happy with my collection thus far. read more

Shop looks like they have a large selection. Not sure on prices because we were only able to look thru the locked doors at 4:35pm. The door and yelp say they are open till 5:00pm. After getting thru traffic and finding a spot to park it was a big disappointment. Especially when For Heavens Sake is closer to us. Since I had friends from out of town and they were in need of a few crystals for grounding. I decided to show them this new place and get a bite to eat in Golden. My advice go where you know or call first. 50min and gas wasted. read more
