I've taken the Movement Exploration Program, and with Jesse's help, I'm not only able to move better, but I'm able to better evaluate EVERY other movement decision I make going forward... Let's just pick an exercise program, for example: If I'm looking at a program for fitness, I can see where that program is taking my body...to freedom and power, or limitations, weakness and injury. I really couldn't tell that before. Not only that, but even if I found the "right" program, I can still do those movements without really listening to my body's signals and end up with plateaus, pain or movement problems/limitations. With Jesse's help, my own senses of what I'm doing with my body have become stronger. I know when I'm pushing too far too fast...before I ACTUALLY push too far too fast. The next benefit I got from the group program was accounting for what I "don't know that I don't know" about my body or movement. I had certain assumptions...like if I'm stretching my hamstrings and they feel tight, they must be tight. Not necessarily. Or if I feel my IT band is tight, then I should foam roll my IT band. Clearing away those assumptions about movement and my body, actually gave me a clearer set of lenses to better sense what my body is telling me through sensation...which means I have better chance of moving past chronic pain or at least live with it in a way that doesn't add to pain. Before you spend thousands on surgery, fitness programs or therapists, work with Jesse.
