I can't say I would recommend this business to anybody. First off they don't cover loads when hauling on the freeway and that is a vehicle violation. Second the man isn't true to his word he first said he was sorry that this happen how would you like to solve this matter and I said I'm going to get a windshield quote for replacement. His driver was pulling a dump trailer and it flew rocks out from the bottom and top and I called the number on the truck and even provided him the video and he has left me paying for damage he has caused to a new Tesla. I called and a guy answers the phone, "Hello?" That should have been my first clue to hang up but hey they have 5 stars on Yelp so I thought that maybe the guy was just having an off day. I scheduled my appointment for the next day (surprised that they were not booked for the summer but happy to get a quick appt) The day of the appointment, no call no show. I texted my Golden State contact at 1:35 asking if they would be getting to the house before 2:00 and didn't get any response back. These guys are awesome and very professional. I have used them for all my concrete and landscape needs. From my back patio and crushed granite side yard to my driveway and stamped stained walkway. Edgar and team removed an existing pad and poured a new pad with color Sept 2016 and the work cost $6100.00. A week after the pour occurred, there was a strange airbubble/mark that we contacted him about. Small cracks were starting to appear after only a week. By that time, we had noticed that the concrete looks splotchy after every rain. And the airbubble had concrete broken out of it already. It looks HORRIBLE. Fast forward several months and we FINALLY got him to respond and come out to take a look on how they could fix this. He and his dad said they could epoxy the air bubble and then they would pressure wash and apply a sealant to take care of the splotchy looks. The cracks which are now plentiful and growing by the week were not addressed. I've tried to contact him via phone, email and text since then around once a month. I've not gotten a response from him since May 15, 2017 and that is when they stopped by to look at the issues. At this point I may have to go to the courts. They were nice and professional to get the job, but the follow-up and actually fixing issues is non-existent. I'd find another company if I could go back and choose again. read more

I would definitely recommend Edgar and his company if you want something done right the first time:) I have hired many contractors to work in my salon on various building renovation projects and Golden state construction has been the best by far. They are honest with you as far as how long a project will take and lets face it when your a business you need to know about how long your work area is gonna be under construction. When they were done with my project I could not believe I actually did not have to clean up after(past contractors have left me with a mess to clean up:(. I found this company on a Facebook ad and the reviews were pretty good so I decided to give them a shot. The proposal he gave me was very generic, with no drawing and no specific details about the job; however, he seemed to have a pretty good understanding of what I wanted done. I accepted the proposal. So they started the prep work and I added more sq footage to the original job, which Edgar said he was going to send me an updated invoice/proposal (he never sent me the updated one, still waiting). After the job was done, the stamped concrete looked great; however, the day after I was able to check the job in more detail and found that one of the downspout drains was completely filled and cover with concrete, the pvc pipe of the A/C that he was going to run under the concrete was NOT done, sprinkler pipes were broken in several locations and on top of that he lied about the cover patio (it was never done). I tried calling him to address the issues and at first, he said he would send someone to check it out. Then, I noticed that someone indeed tried to fix the front pipe of the sprinkler system but when I tried it, it was still leaking!. So instead of waiting for him, I had to dig all the broken pipes and fix them, replace a broken sprinkler (which they attempted to replace but did not work). I tried to call him again to tell him that I was able to address the issue of the pipes that he broke (left message, but no response). Then I tried to call him about the cover patio that he said he would do (left message, no response). and he knew that I had to have everything done by a certain time but I guess he did not care enough. So if you want someone just to pour the concrete and you don't care if he breaks stuff in your property and you don't mind if your phone calls get ignored by him when you have issues/questions about his job, then you can call this company and good luck. read more
