Me and my baby (9 months) has been going here for about 3 months. I really like it and so does she. She has advanced a lot and the instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable and they seem to love all the babies. I strongly recommend all parents to do baby swim with their babies it helps them to feel comfortable and safe in the water. The only downside is that there are no dressing rooms with showers. After my debacle with the Nissan dealer for my car service, visiting here brightened my day. We were picking up breakfast from Dunkin Donuts and remembered this place being renovated. My husband only remembers there being a humongous hole being dug up. Turns out it was for the huge pool they have here for swimming lessons. They have only been open since October 23rd and have a special going on now for lessons. When we popped in, we were able to get a tour from one of their new employees who just happened to be a student where I work and manage student employment. Goldfish swim school is convenient for busy parents with little free time. The building is quite impressive for a swim school and includes a big customer service counter, swim gear shop(goggles, swim diapers, snacks etc.) and a small kids coloring area. There are lots of bathrooms, dressing rooms, blow drying station and a fish tank. The swimming lessons take place in a heat controlled, glass enclosed olympic sized swimming pool. Each pool lane has it's own designated class by ability level. Parents can watch their kids in a 30 minute class with maximum of 4 kids to 1 instructor. During the last 5 minutes of class, parents are called in to pool area to discuss their kid's progress. This is a popular place and although there is plenty of parking it fills up quickly so finding parking does take time. The effectiveness of these types of swimming lessons likely depends on what works best for your kid. My daughter struggles with fear of being on her own in the water and takes time each week to attempt to be more independent. I dont think the once a week 30 minute class is the best way for her to really learn how to swim. She has been taking classes for 6 months with little improvement. However, I work a lot during week and seems to be the best option for parents that dont have a lot of extra time (perhaps that is almost all parents) The cost is a little under $100 per month for once per weekly 30 minute classes. They also have free family swim nights to test out the pool. The instructors are friendly but seem to change often. read more

Fantastic swim school. A friend of mine referred me to this school and I am so glad that they did. I am so happy that their team was diligent and reached me one day because I kept forgetting to call them back. I'd signed him up Friday and was able to get him started today (Sunday). I love that they have a 4:1 teacher/student ratio. The students are really able to get that one on one attention and they respond so well. I love that they it is a no parents allowed type of swim school. While my son is not afraid of the water, he is very dependent on my reassurance and gets nervous if I am not sitting on the edge of the pool. The staff is great and friendly. The young lady that spoke to over the phone was everything. She was very attentive to my son's needs and schedule which I greatly appreciated. The facility itself is fantastic. Sorry no pictures. I was too busy videoing my son. It a huge pool that is divided into smaller lanes width wise. Each child is assigned a lane and a teacher and that is their teacher whenever they attend given they do not need to make up any classes. I love this because it gets my son used to one person but at the same time learn to be flexible with other teachers. This is important for my son. I just had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at Goldfish swim school 2 weeks ago. The staff and location was PHENOMENAL. Extremely clean and organized. Leading up to the party, Tim (the owner) was personally involved and answered any questions I had. The lifeguards and other staff on the day of the party went far far above and beyond at setup, cleanup and running the party. I cannot say how pleased I am with this location for a party. Very mediocre swimming school...while the coaches are friendly and kind, the lessons are repetitive and even my young children get bored. With 4 children total in a 30 minute class, your child spends less than 10 minutes in the pool actually learning how to swim. The rest of the class, your child will sit on the side of the pool doing nothing. I am also having trouble cancelling my subscription, a manager was supposed to call me back 3 days ago and I still haven't heard from them. There are much cheaper swimming classes offered through your local community pools (like $5 per class) where your child will have way more time swimming in the pool vs. sitting on the edge doing absolutely nothing like they do at Goldfish Swim School. read more

I've been taking my niece and nephew here weekly! My niece is older and has been progressing quickly. Each class has a part of the swim lane and are small giving ample individual attention to each child. All the coaches have been so nice and great thus far. The parking gets a bit busy in the evenings since these are popular times. The procedure from check in to check out, showers and changing station are seamless and efficient. This one time a child vomited in the pool and they canceled and rescheduled everyone to get the pool clean and when it happen all the employees worked in unison to get the kids out , pool clean and update the parents . I saw this place when they started renovating and wondered what that big hole was for. Now that it's built and I got a tour I see it was because of that huge, almost Olympic size pool. The young girl who gave us a tour was very helpful and another Lady, we believe was the manager or co-owner was able to fill in and other questions we had. First time I have ever seen a swimming lesson factory! They have lessons going several lanes at a time. Instructors fight to yell over each other as the students struggle to focus. So why do we come, convenience, likely the same reason as 75% of parents. Classes are 30 minutes, they shuffle group in while simultaneously shuffling the other group out. They have plenty of changing rooms and bathrooms so hey, I guess it works! I would have given 5 stars if.... 1) it was more clean. They seriously need to hire a FT cleaning person with all of the money they are making and kids that come through this place 2) children were placed in class by ability, not age. My son has taken lessons since he was 3 months, surely he is not at the same level as a 9 month old that is starting today. 3) kids weren't running the place. I don't really see age and experience in the instructors nor the lifeguards. Maybe the owners are older? Definitely wouldn't leave my child there for a lesson without me being there read more

This place is beautiful! Very inviting and perfect for children. My son really enjoyed his trial class! The instructors were very nice and friendly. He went over different techniques in his first trial. They have family swim night on Fridays after they finish their lesson. In addition, the instructors have activities set up for after their class. We absolutely love Goldfish Swim School! It is extremely clean, which is a big plus in my book. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! They always are kind, respectful, and helpful. The swim classes are so great for all ages. It's so beneficial and definitely worth it. Every time we go my kid never wants to leave. Since the very first time we went my child has been in love with the atmosphere and facility. There are easily accessible bathrooms and changing rooms. They even provide hair dryers. There is also a small shop area with bathing suits, swim diapers, googles, towels, toys, etc. There typically is some sort of great event going on for the family. They even offer plenty of promotions for various things, just like them on Facebook and you can have easy access to their current deals and events. Those are always lots of fun! Apart from the swim lessons there is also open swim times available for everyone. There is a fee for non members but it's like $10 per family. It's a truly amazing place to have in Pembroke Pines.
