Ok so we are on his 3rd cut with Ethan! I've never seen my boy so happy to find his barber here in CStat one thing he is very serious about, his hair! My son knows what he wants and has the biggest smile every time he comes home from seeing him! Mom's not allowed at the barber it's for boys! He is almost 12 and the vibe isn't overwhelming for him or uncomfortable he walks in dabs his barber up and lets him know what he wants! Came here for the first time with my son. We had to get a haircut before school was back after the winter break. We normally get our haircut at Great Clips, but they were a bit busy and they were closing so we didn't to search YELP and found this place. The front desk person was so nice to take us in within 30mins before closing. 2 young newer barbers volunteered to stay late to cut us and they a fantastic job. It was overall, a bit more expensive than Great Clips or Sports Clip, but for a few dollars more for more quality cuts, why not? We will definitely be back. All the staff are friendly and they seem to have a lot of barbers so I don't think I'd have to worry about waiting for a long time. The parking lot is huge. read more

Went here for a back-to-school haircut. I saw good reviews from this place, so I gave it a shot. To say that I got absolutely messed up would be an understatement. Don't get me wrong, this place might have good barbers, but for the love of God, do not let this guy David touch your hair. I'm very disappointed he had to be my first experience here. I asked for a mid drop fade with nothing off the top, but dude shaved off all my side bulk and made my head a circle. The distance he covered was 7 whole fingers from my ear! And to add a cherry on top, bro was high while doing it! I could smell the weed on his fingers. It's been about a month, and I'm still recovering from this horrendous haircut. read more

Overall, my experience was really great with Rebecca. I used the app to schedule my appointment and when I arrived I was able to change what service I wanted. I did the hair cut and beard trim for $33 and it was the best outcome I've received in the Brazos Valley. However, I cannot believe the price is so steep for barber services in this city! I know it is competitive but I was able to get the same experience in NYC for $10-15. I did appreciate the option for a free beer and/or water when I was seated. The music was very current and diverse (anything from Drake to country). The staff was chill and everyone seemed to enjoy their job. I was a solid customer of this place for a while. I went in looking for my barber jclos_styles and they said he didn't work there anymore. I asked where he was or how to get a hold of him which they know and they said no we don't know. I became aware of this when my friend who uses his service said where he was at which is in the mall at offline next to forever 21. So I will no longer due business with this company because that's not proper business or customer service. If a barber decides to go elsewhere they have that right and you are to tell the customers. I really think our experience deserves less stars but the staff when we went in was incredible, so nice and talking to my son the whole time! However we got a girl who for lack of a better explanation was inexperienced. We asked for a faux hawk and I was fully prepared with pictures that we had found, but when I asked if she knew what I meant she said yes, by the cut she had no idea. She cut my son's ear in a couple places. After 30 mins of cutting and recutting I realized she had no idea what I had asked for and my son was done. I am sad because this place came highly recommended and like I said the other barbers were so sweet to my son talking to him and waving. Perhaps I just need to try a different barber. read more

My boyfriend went to get a haircut because of the good reviews of this establishment. Unfortunately was not a good experience. He came home with hair all over his face, ears, and neck. Usually they at least dust you off. The hairstylist Mikayla said it would be two different haircuts for a simple clean up and fade of the sides. The length is pretty irregular and there's long hairs sticking up everywhere. Disappointed to say the least, especially with a 30$ price tag for a mens haircut. read more

Called this morning to get my father a haircut as he's very specific when it comes to his flat top and wanted him to love it for his 80th birthday coming up. He'd been to another mens shop here in town but his regular girl left and the last cut there was a joke. I highly recommend this place. From the nice lady who answered the phone and made sure he was put with someone who could do a old school flat top to Juan R who did his cut, he took his time and really did a great job. Poor service. For starters, the music is way too loud. You can't hear a single thing the barber says to you. And in order for them to hear you, you have to practically shout. It's just overall a very unpleasant experience being inside that shop. Of course you're not going to a barber shop to have a good time, you're going because you want to get your haircut and leave. This place is poor in that regards too. The haircut is overpriced and doesn't look good. The barber seems to have completely disregarded what I asked him to do. I also spent $15 (overpriced) to get my beard trimmed, and the guy practically gave me a pencil line mustache. The barber didn't even use a razor, just the hair trimmers. I am expected to go home after this and finish their job? If so, what is the $15 for? Overall, very poor experience, especially considering this was kind of a treat to myself since it's the only the second haircut I've got since this whole pandemic started almost nine months ago. I went in asking for a mid bald fade and one inch off the top of my hair. I had about 5.5 inches of hair on my head at this point. I got the haircut and walked out with something that wasn't a mid bald fade...all my hair was basically cut right off my head and I wasn't given any chance to see how it was going until it was already too late to fix it. I am very disappointed as I did not get anything close to what I asked for and this is definitely the worst haircut I have ever received. I really wanted to love Mike's. And after my first haircut I thought I found my "new place" but after my last appointment, I am forced to look for another barber. This is my first ever Yelp review despite being a member for 6+ years. I am just so shocked by what happened with my appointment that I feel that I have no choice but to voice my opinion. I moved to College Station from Costa Mesa CA and really needed to find a good barbershop. In Cali I was a long time customer of the famous Hawleywoods and was admittedly a little spoiled by the quality of cut I could get there. After reading the reviews about Mike's I thought I had found a place that could offer something similar. Now, I can tell that the barbers have great skills and are popular. I do not doubt that if you go here for a cut you will get a decent one. The online feature and phone apps are nice too. The issue for me is the general lack of professionalism and a little bit of a "doctors" office atmosphere. This has nothing to do with my review score but I think tearing down the wall in the "waiting" room and giving the place a more open and traditional "barber shop" feel would be nice. The reason for my low review is almost completely because of the poor professionalism I received at my last cut. I will not name any names as I do not want to cause grief and I do not think the individuals are poor barbers, they just need to improve communication. Now onto my experience: I made an appointment with a specific barber, the same barber that I had seen before. To me this is very important, I need to have rapport and experience with my barber so that they can be familiar with my hair and I can suggest minor adjustments to meet my needs. I arrived for my appointment 20 minutes early, not expecting to be seen sooner but just because I am usually early to everything. Around the time of my appointment instead of the barber that I set my appointment with, a different barber asked for me to follow them to the back. The barber I was supposed to see was there with a different client. Instead of an explanation or proposal, the new barber began to go through the motions of preparing to cut my hair. I stated that I had a different barber previously and asked if there was a change and as a response my old barber barely instructed the new barber on what to do with my hair. This confused me greatly and left me second guessing on who I made my appointment with. Instead of getting the haircut I thought I was going to get I just asked for my sides to be cleaned up and the top left alone. I was too confused and weary to ask for more as I did not know the new barber and felt disrespected for not receiving any explanation for the change. The new barber was proficient, and I paid full price, but I will not be returning because I feel somewhat mistreated and can not trust to have a consistent experience with this barber shop. A simple explanation would have been helpful. I was not late for my appointment so I know it was not because of that. I can only surmise that the change was because my original barber was running behind. I would have appreciated that as an explanation and given the OPTION to wait or see a different barber rather than automatically assigned someone new. read more

This is the 3rd time I got a cut from here, the first 2 were great. This 3rd time not so much . The barber messed the cut up around the ear on the right side, not work you'd expect from a quality place like this ( the left side was good ). Then when I went back to get it fixed, she tried to fix it with the blade which wasn't any better . I get home to find she actually had cut me and left me bleeding a bit . I'll be back cause the other barbers are great, but definitely avoiding that particular barber from now on . read more

The scheduling works well, and the atmosphere is fine, but the actual haircut quality can vary. Got an ok cut the first visit with only small issues, but the barber on my second visit did not listen to what I wanted. This studio may work fine if you want a clipper-based cut and know your number, but it didn't work for me when I asked her to leave my bangs long. First thing the door said outside: "Come in, we're awesome!" I walk in through the doors and was quickly told by the hostess that if I didn't have an appointment that I needed to leave. Granted it was 1:00p.m. Website didn't have any: "Appointment Required" banner on it, so I decided to give it a try and walk in. I asked the lady nicely if I could wait since there was still time--I mean they still had two hours in the work day. She said no, that they closed at 3:00 and their appointments were confirmed, and that she could book me for Monday. In the most rude way ever--while looking at he phone. Not even making eye contact.
