In fact, I sometimes wonder how they make any money. I usually always go here for most of my outdoor essentials. Get the app and the card. If you are responsible with money and pay off the card, you'll save tons of money. Also, when you order on line, shipping is free & quick. I think people are intimidated by big boxes and expect someone to be groveling to help them. Stop looking for the negatives and start looking at the bottom line. It's not that much of an inconvenience to ask someone for help and I'm certain they will assist!

The person I spoke with stated that items of different sizes as I was requesting were available. Well, upon arrival I was to say the least very disappointed. There was hardly any stock of the brand I wanted in the store. After walking all over the store to find someone to assist us, I finally found someone. With the poor selection I had to order another item online. When I asked a different sales person about helping me after I'd purchased one item. He asked me had I paid for the item my grandson was holding paid for, I promptly showed him the receipt in my hand. He then instructed me to the bat area and said he would be there to assist with ordering the additional item. He never showed, so I looked for the original person who assisted us and finally saw him and waved him over. With all this being said, never again will I visit this store. It is beyond poor customer service.

I have plantar fasciitis and it hurts so bad but Cam R helped me find the proper Hokas to alleviate the pain. He was so kind and helpful. Kayla up front during checkout also was extremely kind and supportive. Anyone who has had plantar fasciitis knows how painful it is and I owe a lot to Dicks for leading me down the right path of better shoes and comfort. Thank you guys!

From the outside it's a beautiful store and very large . When we walked in there was plenty to see and we perused the aisles . I made my way to the guns counter which is what I wanted to see . Service ? Hah ok . No one said a word . No " can I help you ? How are you folks doing ? Nothing . I said to myself they're probably distracted or whatnot but no . More less chumming it up with one another . As far as the selection goes I saw what I originally had seen on line and at a decent price . If I was to order elsewhere I'd have to deal with shipping etc so the cost wasn't the best but it evened out . We stood there for a few and watched this fellow walk right on by and nope not a word . By then the wide am was fed up and loudly said Hi how are you ? And the. He spoke up . By then we were done so no you cannot help me and I will take my business elsewhere.

I spent over an hour in the store just trying to get assistance. I initially asked an employee where I should stand to be helped, and he directed me to wait near the computers. I did exactly that, but after helping others who were ahead of me, I was redirected to another employee instead of being assisted. The second employee asked me detailed questions about what I was looking for price range, concealment preferences, safety options so I assumed I'd finally be shown some products. Instead, he told me he didn't have time to help and sent me back to the first person. From there, I was left standing and waiting again while employees walked past me or assisted people who had just arrived. What made this especially frustrating was watching other customers receive immediate help being shown firearms and having them taken off the shelf while I was still waiting with no assistance. It felt dismissive and unorganized at best. The environment in the firearm section was also confusing. There were multiple employees present, but very little actual customer service happening. At one point, it felt like there were more staff than customers, yet no one was available to help me. Out of curiosity, I checked online reviews while waiting and saw many similar complaints about poor service and lack of responsiveness. Unfortunately, my experience reflected those same issues. By the time I left, I felt frustrated and unwelcome. For a first-time buyer, this was not the kind of guidance or professionalism I expected. I won't be returning, and I would recommend others especially first-time buyers to consider other stores where customer service is a priority.

This golf driving range has been here about as long as I can remember, and it's really starting to…read moreshow its age. In general the entire premises could use some TLC, and though I'm generally just one of those "give me an open field to smack stuff into" kind of guys, I can't help but feel that there are better fields to smack little round white balls into. From the entrance, the paved driveway is being gradually reclaimed by the surrounding woodland, and that can kind of be said in general of the whole place. The parking lot is more than large enough for the range, even on the nicest of days I would think. The clubhouse is no longer a clubhouse. Over the years it went from being walk-in and stocking a few items, even re-gripping clubs on demand, to just a window with an attendant, to now, no attendant. That's all honestly fine with me, the ball dispenser seems to work fine, even if giving it your money isn't the most intuitive thing in the world. Other than the ball vend-o-tron, you get a pepsi machine. Speaking of giving it your money, it's $10 for a medium bucket of balls currently, which is 70 balls. That's higher than most of the surrounding golf courses, particularly Jamestown, which has recently overhauled their range into a better experience on days with or without a mat. On the subject of the balls, they need to be purged. In my bucket, I got about half newer balls, and of the remaining half, balls that still had dimples but were covered in gouges and marks, to balls that have been weather-worn almost completely smooth. This item needs the most attention, as I'm not really getting any kind of accurate practice with balls that bad. On my visit, it was "mat-only" but i kind of get the feeling that is the default here now. The grass in front of the matted area is non-existent. The mats do not have tees for you to hit driver, nor are they the newer mats that you can actually slip your own tee into. The result is, people hit irons off the mat, then step forward onto the dirt to tee up for driver practice. On the plus side, there were more than enough tees for me to scavenge instead of using my own. The short game area has fallen into total disrepair, it's not even acknowledged anymore. On a nice spring day, at any given time i was there, there was probably about 10-12 people. Means this place makes a decent chunk of change, and someone just comes along now and then to tractor up the balls and refill the vend-o-tron. A pressure washer, new mats that are tee-able so they can re-seed the grass in front, and a bunch of new range balls would really bring this place back to prominence even if the short game area is never to be used again.

Surprisingly, this place is open! The phone number on yelp (as of March 2024) is not updated…read more They are open until 9 most weeknights. Balls are reasonably priced vs other places, grounds are maintained well. I wish all the lights worked at night (need to stick close to the entrance after dark), and wish the parking lot was lit as well.
