Golfer beware, I'll start off and say the greens were very nice and the course in good shape…read more Now why you should not play this course until it's too hot out and it's slow or they learn how to manage the pace of play. We had an 11:03 tee time and didn't tee off until 11:15am (not the worse), get to the second tee box and waited 5-7 min bc there was a group still on the box while the group ahead of them were on the green (should of been off the box). Then we get to hole 3 (almost 40 min to play 2 holes) wait again 3-5 min. Now this is what made me upset, the Marshall comes by and says" I just want to ask your group to speed up to keep up pace of play" I just ignored him because that was not cool to say, when we were waiting already. Fast forward , 2 hours 45 minutes to play the front and 5 hours 15 minutes to play the round. Horrible Last thing, as local $123 is way to much when Paiute is only $100 and it's in way better shape -Rhodes ranch is only $89 and they in just as good as shape and I have never had a round take over 4 and a half hours at either course. I hope they read this and fix the pace of play problem especially for the price they charge.

Let me start with I have owned a business for 23 years and have never seen this level of disrespect…read morebefore.  Being treated like garbage as customers of these Golf courses has made it so we/I will never come back to Siena or Arroyo Golf Course. I am the Tour Director for Golfweek Amateur Tour and these courses are run by one organization and their Sales & Director of Tournaments is Chandler Gale. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Doug Chalmers General Manager | Director of Sales and Marketing. I set up my event for our AM Tour 9 months ago and they were charging us almost double what they charge locals, which we are! When discussing this they effectively both stated that we are being charged more because we booked so far in advance versus closer to the time of the event.   Chandler even chuckled about it once I said that makes no sense when we have worked with you before and how this should help your company as you prepared for your 2026  budget. So they reduced it from $190 to $135 which was still $20 more than their public rate. Then their inside voice came out and stated the following: We don't need your business we are getting more on our "rack" rate from out of towners. Our new owner wants us to charge more. At one point we had an odd number of players. I advised them the likelihood is we will fill the remaining 2-3 spots. I was then advised they would fill the remaining spots with public play. I have never seen this as a Tour Director! Also it does not state this anywhere on the contracts. This level of bullying was unacceptable. It was then I was told "we don't need you! We can get more money from out of towners. They forced us to pay for the remaining spots if we don't want public play added with our players. This is and was unacceptable and quite frankly better places to play but with 2 weeks before the event really was forced to pay.  The day of the event this "demanding" course was not in great shape here are pictures and the tee boxes that all looked rough and bunkers that all had gravel in them and drainage in some cases exposed. Visitors they charge you upwards to double what we pay demand better. Locals do not fall victim to golf courses that have forgotten that we matter.  Remember they really don't need our business!!! Here are some of the complaints and statements said to our members between both Tournaments held there 1. The Marshall before the event had even started said he hates tournaments because "you guys are always late and slow."(Siena) 2. The Marshal said to one member that they needed to pick up the pace after the FIRST HOLE it took them 9 mins to play it. (Arroyo) 3. They wouldn't allow us to set up a table inside becsuse they were too busy. (See pic when we finished) And if our players want food afterwards they were not prepared to handle that and we need to sit outside. (Siena) 4. Told by Marshall's to our players that we will follow you all day to push your pace. (Siena) This is NOT customer service! This is constant harassment when we paid just as much as anyone else to be there. (more in some cases) Golf and Tournament Golf are fun and should be allowed to enjoy the facilities and the course like any other patron.
