I've visited this Golf Galaxy location many times before and I wanted to share a fun interaction I had with Chris today at the grip/repair counter. Chris shared an amazing/personal story with me and gave me a little bit of history on my putter which he re-gripped. I think my old putter grip read "Slotline." It was such a pleasant experience and he changed my grip in less than five minutes. I think we chatted longer than it took him to complete the repair. Called and made a reservation earlier in the day for the simulator. We got here in time and someone else was already in it. They made us wait over a half an hour. When it was my son's turn they told him he couldn't even use it. Every interaction with a staff member made me feel uncomfortable because I'm not dripping with money so they didn't think I was worth their time. What a great experience at Golf Galaxy. I walked in there looking for some used woods and hybrids. The staff was very accommodating, letting me try out different combinations of heads and shafts, and they were accommodating on the price as well. I dropped into Golf Galaxy today. Broke my 7-iron I needed to get it fixed. Since I was going in I brought a friend's set of clubs to get regripped. Chris in the back is most excellent! Got my club fixed and my friends set gripped all in the same day. I know this doesn't happen often but it did today. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I knew something was wrong and I took it here to see if I could somehow get it to behave. Neil, who is one of the club builders and fitters helped me and quickly identified the problems: the shaft that I got off, eBay was actually slightly bent, and the angle of the club was 3° upright. I didn't realize that the shaft and lying go was off until Neil pointed out to me and proved it on his machines. I think this golf galaxy has excellent customer service and clearly, my experience shows that their employees are motivated and proactive supporters of our golf game . read more

Golf Galaxy must be the reason golf is so inaccessible. There are a lot of signs, it seems, for me to not take up golfing. One of them being a bad golf club in North Las Vegas. And one of them being the really awful customer service at Golf Galaxy. I can only assume it's because I'm Asian that the customer service here DELIBERATELY decided to not help me. For 10 minutes, nobody came to ask if I needed help. I then decide to stand at the counter where 3 employees were telling jokes with the ONLY other customer in the store. After another 10 minutes, one of the employees says, "we'll be with you shortly." OK. Cool. They continue to goof around. After another 5 minutes, the same guy says, "give me another 10 minutes" and then goes hangs out with his front desk buddy. I'm standing there and then ask if I can be helped since the ONLY customer in the store has left. THE KID AT THE COUNTER LITERALLY LOOKS AT ME, SAYS NO, AND STARTS TYING HIS SHOES. So no, I'll never go to another Golf Galaxy again. Exclusionary twats. read more

They went above and beyond to correct a mistake. The GM was very friendly and I've always appreciated the work done here on my clubs.

Poor customer service - they all congregated at the front making jokes. We came when they opened so it's not like they were busy. Made eye contact and never bothered to come over to help. I had to request for help after 15min and someone did help and did their best. read more

Been going here for 12 years. Used to be my go to golf store with welcoming staff and knowledgeable club builder but has turned into a dump past year or so. Unfriendly staff who Makes you feel like you are a burden. One of worst experiences I've ever had was here with a salesman literally telling me to leave and go hit at PGA Superstore because I was trying used equipment in the simulator (that I paid for time!). Preowned club prices are over market prices and they won't negotiate. Bathrooms are dirty with no soap. Simulator time is expensive. Save your time and do as the salesman told me it do and just go to PGASS. read more

I would not ever recommend taking your clubs here for a re-grip. When I buy new grips I have no intention of needing to take them home and clean them but this is what I had to do when I re-gripped my entire iron set. The tops of every grip were covered in black dirt (grips were white) and I was also asked to pay prior to the service so that they didn't have to offer any discount. No compensation was made and nothing was done to make up for this so I had to take my brand new grips home and clean them myself. I spend thousands of dollars every year with Golf Galaxy and I don't plan on that ever again. Moving forward I will shop exclusively at the PGA Superstore if I need anything golf related and I suggest you do as well. read more

Maybe it's just me. I have a GG near my home. It's convenient and easy to get to. Yesterday, though, was enough. Granted they're understaffed and irritable, but rude is not acceptable. I went in with the purpose of buying a couple of clubs. They employee overseeing the hitting bay and fitting area was an absolute jerk. Despite his attitude and arrogance, and without his help, I purchased the clubs I wanted. However, it will be a while before I go back in. Walked around for 20 minutes , past several employees , one employee walks by my husband and asks another gentleman if he needed any assistance. Walked out and spent $1200 on new clubs at another golf store chain. I can only assume that this was because my husband is on the larger size and your staff assumed because of this he wasn't there to actually make a purchase and couldn't possibly be a golfer. Walked in to test out a new driver I wanted, planning on buying this club for my birthday. No one approached or offered to help. Dropped by Golf Galaxy today to re-grip and shorten my husbands driver. The team members are so knowledgeable! The guy behind the counter was able to explain why re-weighting the head is vitally important to shortening the club shaft and even knew what ounce weights to order for each half inch taken off the length. He also found the club was 1/2 longer than factory explaining why my husband's timing was so off with this club. The fact that he knew all this information off the top of his head was impressive. He was very helpful and quick! It was done in one minute flat and waiting for us at the register. Golf Galaxy has lots of selection. It's very clean, organized, and has plenty of people to help you out. Team is very knowledgeable. read more

I came here recently to pick up some Golf Balls and other supplies. I always browse the used golf clubs area for Wedges or Drivers that might catch my eye. I saw a few Ping G15 Drivers, but they were still a bit expensive for what I was looking for ($247 - $299)....I'll wait until they're in the low $100's. It's always a great shopping experience there. visited the store for some golf balls and new TM wedges. one of the employees Kamden came yelling at me as I proceeded to press the "ok" button on the hitting bay simulator, I told him I was 40 years old and didn't need to be talked to like I was a child, so he sits next to me and says "oh, we'll let's see your swing now TOUGH GUY" I asked for a supervisor, and he was just a new employee who started working at the store a few weeks ago, nice kid. I will be writing him up to corporate and making sure his attitude is rewarded with unemployment, totally uncalled for. I've spent thousands in this store yearly. The WORST customer service I've ever seen! I was there today for 20 minutes and no one would help! I was one of only 2 customers in there ata the time too! They were all by the regrip area just hanging out and mean mugging anyone that came near them! Not the most warm and welcoming place to shop! Not one smile not one hello not one can I help you! The closets I got to getting help was when this guy with a scraggly beard walked through me by the shoes! No sorry, no excuse me just kept walking with his training aid in his hand! He had previously been giving the kid at the front counter a lesson on how to get more shaft lean with the box drill! This place is pathetic! The manager could careless too, met that guy once, and let me tell you that's one of the worst attitudes I've ever experienced from a retail manager! I made my last purchase from golf galaxy today. They, as well as dicks sporting goods have the worst online store. I bought a new rangefinder, brought it home, opened it up and it was clearly used. Not a big deal but they could have declared it or gave me a discount. The instructions were missing, the whole back of the case has a sweat stain and it stinks. I will wash it and keep it rather then ever step foot in any store owned by golf galaxy / dicks. The only reason I went back here was I had gift card for $100. I walked in here prepared to drop around 3K on a new set of clubs and gear. When I walked in not one person asked if I needed help with anything. I walked around the store for about 15 minutes looking at bags, shoes, clubs, etc. Still not one person asked I needed help with anything. Which is did. I finally asked someone at the back to help with a fitting and was told I needed to set an appointment. There were NO customers in the store. They didn't close for an hour and a half. I asked what it took to set an appointment. I got no answer. No appointment was set up. I was just given excuses as to why they couldn't help me. It was the worst example of customer service I've had in a LONG time. Nobody -NOBODY- in this store offered to help with anything. They all acted as if they were too bothered to help with anything. I bought a golf bag that I wanted and left. They lost around $2,700 in additional money I was going to spend because everyone was too busy chatting amongst themselves than to offer me any kind of help. I have to say. I am so impressed by this store. I had such a good time. I'm just getting back into golf and knew I needed some new irons so I came into here before my work shift to try a few sets. I felt so comfortable in this store. I never felt pressured or pushed. I just had a lovely time. I picked up the p790 irons, originally I got black but then decided to switch to the steel. Like Michael B said in his review, though they carry the best brand names, they seem to lack knowledge, and unless you are a cute girl, buying for a boyfriend or husband, they seem to lack sincerity and concern for your satisfaction. Now, let's top it off with being the highest prices in the game. They really are no better than the Pro Shop at your favorite course, without caring about if you get what is right, or your satisfaction. Just for fun, I was looking at used clubs, and they were higher priced than I could buy new ones for at a reputible On Line Establishment. If you are new to the game, I suggest going to a Pro Shop, with true professionals to assure you are fitted properly, and that you don't overspend on clubs and accessories, and grow into the game.
