He walked my home, explained how they would complete the project, etc. He asked if I was getting other estimates, which I said I was, since I'm new to the area and want to ensure I'm getting a quality service and fair price. He stated that they are typically 20% to 25% higher than most other painting companies. I asked what makes Midway different to justify a 25% premium above others. He said they warranty their work and use Sherwin-Williams paint. I was still interested in the estimate so I could compare it to other similar companies and make an educated decision. I followed up after 8 or 9 days without receiving an estimate. Zero response to my follow-up with the sales person or the company's general email address.

One of the biggest parts of this project was staining the new handrails and banisters to match our existing flooring. Nelson showed my wife and me a wide range of stain samples, each carefully selected to closely match the tones of our floors. He was patient and helpful throughout the selection process, and the final result was a perfect match to the sample we chose. The stain not only looks beautiful on its own, but it really ties the whole area together and makes everything feel cohesive and intentional. In addition to the staining, Nelson painted all the trim around the stairs and banisters. This fresh coat of paint gave the space a clean, crisp look and really helped the new woodwork stand out.
