Wow! I can't stress how good this business is. Let me start off with the phone call we made to inquire about their pricing and packages. We emailed him on a Wednesday morning and by Wednesday evening we had an email telling us all about the business and what they offered with a starting price. This was awesome because after seeing the website we were sure they were going to be out of our budget. We called them the following day and asked to meet with them to see what the books looked like and get more detailed pricing information. My fiance and I went to their location and met with Ryan Gonzales the owner of the business. He greeted us with a glass of wine and began talking to us about what we were looking for in a photographer. As we were talking we mentioned this person who was not happy with the service he provided to her on yelp and he told us that she had some issues and was a cousin to his girlfriend. We needed some clarification before we considered hiring him for a day we would not be able to do twice. After calling Angela we began to ask her several questions about this cousin. She told us that she was bi-polar and had several issues, she also told us that Ryan did not just pickup a camera and call himself a photographer. Ryan then began showing us several certificates which showed his education and knowledge in photography and also showed us several books of weddings he had done. We began to feel very comfortable with what we saw and what we were hearing from both Angela and him. Ryan showed us a couple of slideshows on the TV which were just beautiful of some recent weddings. Our wedding was at the Union Station in Downtown El Paso and low and behold he showed us a wedding that he had done at that same venue. We were impressed at the work he showed us and the way he was interested in us and our day. After my fiance and I spoke it over and Ryan and Angela gave us some time alone we called him back in and told him we wanted to book him before our date was taken. To put the icing on the cake he also showed us that he had been featured and interviewed by CNN Money. This just added to the confidence we had in hiring him to photograph our wedding. We booked his most popular package which we thought was pretty expensive but we got everything we wanted including a disk of the images. His presentation was very good and we were so impressed. On the day of our wedding he and his assistant showed up about 15-20 minutes early to get our getting ready shots. I was at the Camino Real and my fiance was at the same hotel but in a different room and floor. Ryan and his assistant came into the room where us girls were having some wine and just went straight to work after telling all of us hello. He started taking pictures of things I didn't even think would be important but in the end were very important for our album. He took pictures of me getting my hair and makeup done and pictures of my beautiful wedding gown that I spent alot of money on. I really felt like he valued what I had spent on my gown and took really good care of it as he took it out of the room to photograph it. While he was doing his thing, his assistant began asking if I wanted any pictures getting ready for my soon to be husband. I did not exactly know what she meant but after she explained it I was excited to give him pictures that only he would see. I think she called it boudoir or something like that! The pictures she got were amazing and did not even look like me, I was impressed and my husband David was even more amazed and thankful. When Ryan got back from taking pictures of my gown, he asked where David was at so I gave him the room number and they both went to get pictures of David getting ready. The pictures he got of David were beautiful, now I know why he continues his education and learns from east coast photographers. The styles that we had seen from other photographers were very different than Ryan's style and that is something we wanted something different. When I was ready to get into my gown he and his assistant were there for my mom tying up my dress and putting on my jewelry. Once we were done they both left to the church. At the church Ryan and his assistant were so quiet I even forgot they were there but the pictures they took were beautiful. I look back on my ceremony pictures most of all because the angles they got were like they were right there next to us but I still to this day don't remember seeing either of them as close as the pictures look like they were. I have been to weddings where you see the photographer or the video guy moving around and is very distracting but I honestly don't know where Ryan or his assistant were at all, plus they wore black even though it was super hot. Gonzales Photography did our wedding and we cannot be more happier with our pictures. First we met with Ryan the owner and photographer at his home in Las Cruces while visiting Todd's parents. We had been shopping around Las Cruces and El Paso for a photographer with his style, even in the Phoenix area but could not find one. A friend of his who lives in Phoenix had referred us to him and we are so thankful that she did. The day of our wedding he and his assistant greeted me in my room to start getting pictures of me getting ready and to take pictures of my dress and jewelry. Todd had bought me this necklace from Tiffany's and had given it to me as a gift on this day. Ryan was right on it taking beautiful pictures of the box and the necklace. I was surprised at the level of detail Ryan went thru to get these precious moments. After he was done taking pictures of me and my bridesmaids he proceeded to go to Todd's room to take pictures of him and the Rolex I gave to Todd as a gift. I didn't know it but Todd had also bought his groomsmen a flask with their names etched. When we saw the pictures is when I had seen this gift he had bought for his friends. At the church we saw Ryan and his assistant once but after that we never saw him again until we were ready to get pictures of the family and our bridal party. We asked him if he had gotten pictures during the ceremony and his reply was "Yes". I had asked him where he was at and he told me "I was moving around but being in black and blending in with your guests makes us like Ninja's!" When he said Ninja's I began to laugh and told him that his statement was funny. After we were done with the formal pictures we proceeded to go to the industrial area to get some of the style we had hired him for. We drove up to an old warehouse and both Todd and I were asking ourselves where we were at? Ryan stopped and walked over to us and asked us if we were ready, we both said do your magic. So we all got down and took pictures at this warehouse thinking how in the world could this look good. It is when we saw the pictures that were edited that we were in awe over what Ryan and his editors did. We were so happy with Ryan's work and felt relieved that he was as artistic as the images he showed us at our consultation. Gonzales Photography and Ryan are amazing at what they do and he has such a bright future in wedding photography that we are sure to hire him again for our family pictures when we start building our family. Bringing him to Arizona was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Every dollar was well spent! I recently used Gonzales Photography for some 2013 Prom pictures. First of all let me say that Ryan was so incredibly accommodating to my photo request. I live more than 100 miles away from Las Cruces and only gave him about 24 hours notice. He said it would be no problem and set up a time and place to meet. During the session, he was great at making the kids feel relaxed and laugh. He was very quick at setting up shots and poses and didn't waste any time as he knew the kids were on a tight schedule. The photos are amazingly beautiful and far beyond what I had expected. Showed up late, Took pictures of my son running around, did not take pictures of what i wanted and where. Overpriced and no formal training , certifications, or licenses. Pretty much just picked up a camera and called himself a photographer.
