I had been thinking about doing my nose once more, so when we went in with my young niece to get her ears pierced and I saw how calm and chill Morgan was, I decided to get it done. I did inform them that I had gotten a bit faint during past piercings, but forgot about a few other times during blood donation and a skin biopsy when I did totally pass out and was told I had a "bit of a seizure," during those occasions. The piercing went smoothly, but ever since having a child and getting older, I do think my anxiety can peak higher and right when the piercing was done, I felt my body "whoosh," into profound nausea. The next thing I knew, I was waking up out of a quick dream and found out I had passed out and seized pretty dramatically. My sister-in-law and the kids saw the whole thing, so it really meant a LOT that Morgan was calm and assertive through the whole thing. She helped me feel less humiliated than I otherwise would have, and was patient and kind about the whole thing. And I have a very pretty nose stud! Thanks, Morgan!

She said she didn't have availability and didn't know if anyone else in the shop did. She asked me to text her a picture of what I wanted and she'd get back to me. Never responded to me either way. I call ahead the very next day; the individual that answered (around noon) said she had availability if I came up in an hour; I came up a few minutes prior to an hour, to be safe; the piercer greeted me and let the artist know I was waiting. Forty minutes of waiting, the artist finally comes to acknowledge me and tells me it'll be at least another hour, maybe two. (You can leave if you want or wait.) again, very disinterested. I've Now booked the tattoo 40 minutes away with an artist that actually seems to want the work. I would not recommend this place, at all. *I do have names of each person I spoke with, however, I'm not going to sit and name drop; if you like this place, good for you.*

Jewelry that was put in was the type that inserts from the back and has a ball that screws in from the front. After they had healed and I went to change the jewelry one of the earrings had been screwed on so tightly I couldn't remove it. Stopped in to have them unscrew it. 30 seconds total (using a hemostat to clamp the earring to remove) and she charged me another $10. Nobody mentioned this charge at all when I asked if someone could try to unscrew it or when I was called back to have it done. Great way to drum up extra business. Secure the jewelry so tight you have to return and they have to remove it with a hemostat. Then tack on an additional fee. I've had other friends with bad up-charge experiences too. One friend called to see how much it would to have her ears pierced and was told $50 over the phone. She ended up getting double piercings thinking it would be $100 and walked out with a bill over $300! Be sure to ask what the total charges are before you even sit down and get it in writing if you have to use their services. Or better yet, go somewhere else.

Ryonen reached out to me within 24 hours and we discussed my request to replicate his paw print but I also wanted it to look "pixilated". She said she would be more than happy to work on this and we scheduled my appointment for after the New Year. The shop was clean, and Ryonen was very friendly and professional explaining every step and helped me decide where to place the tattoo. She was very patient when I asked her to slightly revise the initial pixilation of the template. I had a great experience with my first tattoo and am already thinking about what to do next as I will definitely be returning in the future for a second!

Went into the shop while I was visiting Morehead. Asked for a small ampersand on my thumb. Mike,…read morethe shop owner, decided this would be a great piece for the apprentice and assured me that he wouldn't allow the apprentice to tattoo unless he had the utmost faith in him. I agreed, because I'm heavily tattooed and I think apprentices should get their chance to work on real customers. I regret allowing that to happen. We had to move the stencil six times. When he got to work, he couldn't follow the stencil. Eventually, we had to bring another artist in to try and fix his mistakes. It didn't look great. The healing process was terrible. I've never had such trouble with a tattoo. Most of the ink fell out and it doesn't even resemble an ampersand. It actually looks like I've got a prison tattoo on my HAND. Or something some teenager did with one of those beginner tattoo kits. Then the apprentice charged me $40 when Mike had previously quoted me $20. I felt bad for him too, because he tried so hard, so I gave him another $20. But this is not acceptable work. I would love to have my money back, especially now that my hand is permanently marred because of a serious lack of judgment on Mike's part. I wanted to write Mike directly before I left a public review, but the shop has no website or contact info so far as I can see. Anyway, if I were you, I would stay away from this shop or, at the very least, I wouldn't let the apprentice tattoo me.
