The containers they use are 30-40% smaller in which you will get less food for the same prices. This is a bait and switch that I think is dishonest. I would rather a small price hike. Well if this is how they will be doing business it's time to only go to a sit down restaurant or find an another place that has not done the bait and switch on its customers. Welcome to corporate greed everyone.

Under prior ownership, this was a destination. People drove in from surrounding cities. After moving out of the area, I would drive hundreds of miles out of my way to eat here. That was not nostalgia talking - the food used to be that good. This was one of the first three locations of Pick Up Stix. After the split, Hot Wok, now branded HTWK, kept the House Special Chicken on the menu and kept the original recipe alive for years. They understood what made people show up. The new ownership did not. Somehow they looked at what was a proven formula, a loyal following, and a signature dish that built the brand, and decided the problem was vision. They removed the very item that defined the place and expected the reputation to remain intact. It did not. This is no longer the restaurant people plan trips around. It is what happens when management mistakes change for "progress" and forgets why customers came in the first place. They had a good thing and killed it.

I waited for somebody to take my order for only a minute, and she took my order very quickly. I was also so happy to see that she stacked my plate up to where it could barely close. While this was happening, I watched as another employee was double checking tables and wiping up to ensure that the restaurant stayed clean. It looked great inside. I was happy to be in and out in less than 5 minutes. Once I did get a chance to eat, I was very happy with my food. I got the combo A with spicy orange chicken and half chow mein/half fried rice. The food tasted very warm, and the noodles were the right amount of chewy. The spicy orange chicken was also good, with just a slight spice. I was very happy with my meal, which was enough to serve two very hungry people!
