We were disappointed in the scores after the expenditure of a significant amount of time and money. Friends shared with us similar experiences that their kids had with MindFish. When I asked MindFish if it thought the lack of improvement was because of the new format of the test, it suggested instead that the problem was because we took a 10 day vacation in August (during which time studying took place) and test anxiety. Who knows why my senior's score went from 1330 to 1380 t0 1300, but I personally wouldn't hire Mindfish again.

My husband contacted the agency and they dispatched a message to her. We did not hear from her until the NEXT day via a text message. She wanted to come by at noon to pick up the paperwork. I replied that we decided to decline the services. Her response,"Okay thank you." No apology for standing us up the day before nor did she ask when it would convenient for US to come back. Both kiddos who typically do well in school were struggling. When we engaged Tutor Doctor, they answered all our questions and matched us with an amazing tutor, Angie. Angie comes to our house. She helps our middle-schooler with 7th grade pre-algebra, Spanish, and paragraph structure and CERs for language arts. She then assists our 3rd grader with spelling, handwriting, and division. Scott asked a lot of questions about each student to understand their disposition, the way they learn, how much pushing they needed to study, etc. They were matched with very different instructors and both were patient, respectful, and clear in their teaching. Going into the college prep season with our older student, we were all a bunch of nerves. However, during the tutoring process, we collectively relaxed because our son became confident in his abilities to take the tests effectively. Both of our kids' scores were impressive, much higher than before the tutoring. As it turned out, they both did receive merit scholarships at their desired universities. First I will say I am someone who is cautious of scams, so I really did my research before…read moreenrolling my 15yr old son in the 3 month program Dec 2016. My son had ADD/ADHD and his grades were D's and F's at the time I enrolled him. I tried medication when he was younger, but of course there are side effects. Tried natural supplements as well. I had pretty much given up until I kept hearing brain balance on the radio.. I figured it was too expensive,but when I found out they do payment plans, I was sold. I am so glad I did! This year, my son has mostly B's in school and he is so much more motivated and working hard. He is able to stay on task better. He has matured so much in 1 yr. We were not able to follow the diet change very well, except I was able to reduce my son's sugar intake which I believe helped a ton. I still try to keep it reduced even to this day. I also did some research on WEB MD and found a natural supplement to help with brain health. It's called Acetyl ,L-Carnitine HCI . I found this at walmart made by Spring Valley. I started giving 2 pills to my son every day before school when he started brain balance. It is supposed to help with motivation. I still have him take it every day, even though he is done with brain balance. I read that Fish oil is good for brain health as well. The Staff at brain balance really treats you like family.
