Via Benedictine Sisters of the World…read more To Catholics of the World It is a pleasure to recommend for your positive consideration of the application of 'G-SPOT' for "ANYTHING'. G-SPOT and his family as a whole and team for generations have been very supportive to every community they have touched or resided in. G-Spot's mother is an alumni we are proud of from Saint Scholastica Chicago IL. Jane Byrne was the first women and Roman Catholic to be elected Mayor of a major city (Chicago) in the United States and an alumni we are also proud of. At the age of ten years old, DJ G-Spot received the honor and EMBLEM of "Parvuli Dei". The "Parvuli Dei' is a program developed by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) for Bear and Webelos Cub Scouts of the Catholic Faith. The "Parvuli Dei" is a parish and family oriented mission in which the Cub Scout works with his parents and church to help the young boy explore a wide range of activities in order to discover the presence of God in their daily lives as members of their family and parish, and also to develop a good positive self-image through the contribution they can make to God, the group and community. In Hawaii alone, DJ G-Spot has done fundraisers, volunteered and worked with and for numerous charities for decades including: The Hawaii Food Bank, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Eagle Scouts Projects, University of Hawaii 'AIDS Project Fund', Life Foundation, Non-profit community Radio essential fundraising, University of Hawaii 'Centennial Campaign', ....,, Honolulu Academy of the Arts, countless environmental groups. {Documentation can easily be provided}. For specifics, one community service he has spearheaded in Hawaii is "Shelter Alliance", where he collects mobile phones from persons who have purchased a new cell phone and the safety communication device is given to women who are not able to purchase or obtain one; via 'Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Honolulu HI'. Again it is with pleasure that we recommend DJ G-Spot to you for your positive consideration of his application on anything he fills the paperwork out on. Should you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us. I have faith that whatever if any help he receives will come back to the community (10) ten-fold. The (3) three years G-Spot was at St Nicholas Roman Catholic Church as a Cub Scout he came in (1st) first place (2) two of the (3) three years and (2nd) second place in the State one of the (3) three years. He also humbly won best design (3) three of three years.

I agree with Ms. Sara's totally wonderful review from November 26, 2013. How true, how true. The…read moreonly thing that I may add is how thankful I was and how grateful I continue to be to participate in this community of Catholics. Ecumenism abounds--is alive and well and beckoning Churchgoers from here, there, and everywhere to return to experience the "fervor" that Ms. Sara so accurately referred to. Joyfully, I hereby acclaim on April 22, 2017: Five stars PLUS! *****+ According to Saint Therese of the Holy Face, "everything is grace." And in the words of Saint Teresa of Avila, "Let nothing disturb you, nothing cause you any fear." The echoing forth of these brilliant women Saints also point to another great Carmelite Saint, namely John of the Cross, whose guidance throughout volumes of writing may possibly be summed up in the words: "Where there is no love, put love, and you will find love." Love changes everything. Love is patient and kind. Prudent and wise change for the better, infinite patience, and unwavering kindness are found at Saint Nicholas Church on Ridge Avenue just south of Washington in Evanston. Please come home to Saint Nicholas, anyone who searches for that undying love encouraged by the gracious Saints Therese, Teresa, and John...Please come home soon. Respectfully submitted, Robert L. I was a…read morelittle hesitant but screw it, its about doing things for others once in a while and just enjoying it. I usually do not like to talk about the good one does, but in this case, its more-so for the fact that others can join in and help them out when the need arises. If a teenager has to do volunteer hours this is the perfect opportunity to do so. I was put in the kitchen to cut up veggies and help make the GIGANTIC VAT of spaghetti. I mean this thing fed the 188 people we served just that afternoon. Seriously, it was something of a feat to see this. I didn't think it was actually going to feed everyone in the hall, but wow if it did! I helped prep the salad, spaghetti and even the desserts. I have to admit, I was so happy I went. And although it was hard work, the workers made it fun and exciting if that can be stated. They are a non for profit organization that gets donations of food from all over, and just recently started getting food donated from Aldi, YES ALDI! 7 days a week they feed the hungry and NEVER turn anyone away. Some guy (who I heard is a regular) came in with his 2 liter of soda already ready for the nights food. And you would think that a they would serve small portions, but no, these portions were fit for a football player. I mean seriously big portions. Then at the end of the night, (Food is served from 5-6 and stops after that), a take home bag is given to everyone which could consist of produce and a whole bag is what they give. Not one pack, a WHOLE BAG. Nutritious foods that some of the participants probably would never get access too. Not to mention that I was told by one of the cooks that people from far away south come for this and they are fine with that. What a wonderful thing to see, and I hope that this review will encourage others to volunteer their time at least once, to give back something to the communities that so need it. Parking down the block is free on Paulina, but if you park in front, its metered. I choose this so be prepared.

Feeding Hungry people all year round is not a Joke but this organization has been doing it…read moreeffortlessly.Glad to get a chance to volunteer as part of "Yelp Takeover event". They feed nutritious dinner 365 days which is really commendable. Apart from feeding homeless, veterans this organization also does social projects like Micro lending,Mentoring kids and guiding them in education. The place is spacious enough for feeding 50-60 people at one go. They have a big kitchen and counter to serve food.Rest Rooms are clean . Tammy, the staff is very friendly. This place is 5 min walk from Howard CTA station incase if you want to volunteer or donate. It is always good to spare time for less privileged. You can donate your money/time.Gift Donation is tax deductible. Helping Hands are better than Praying Lips-Mother Theresa.
