Was going through a rough season where I found myself being pursued by God - for the first time in my life I can say I've ever been willing and open to leaning into my faith this way. About two months into rebuilding my relationship with God and I think it is safe to say we have found our home church with Bay and this campus specifically. Tried out a few churches in the area and Bay is what felt most like home for us. It was very important for me to find a place where I can be MYSELF and know God - I have felt a huge sense of peace and comfort coming here and feeling like I've found this. So amazing how involved Bay is within the community and the services it offers for the underserved communities. These are offered on an ongoing basis and engrained in their values which is so humbling to know. I've felt a tug to be involved in what they have to offer, to learn more, and so far it has been great. After service we always walk away feeling lighter, seen, and inspired. They rotate between different pastors to come and speak on Sunday and we love that we get a mix of different people to share the word. Their worship team is also so great and sings beautifully. Never in my life have I felt this hunger and it's an absolute blessing. What was "that church off the freeway with the lights on the hill" will hopefully be our forever home church.

All I needed was to turn in a form because I will be sponsoring my dustier god daughter for her confirmation in February. I don't come to this church every single Sunday due to personal reasons. Now because I'm not "registered" and because I live in Antioch, "I don't belong to this church". I've never felt so belittled and offended. It's like the doors to this church are completely closed for me. I'm honestly very disappointed. My son got baptized there when he was one and didn't have any issues until now. My family goes to church here almost every Sunday too. I'm very mind blown and disappointed.

With only 4 months left, the pastor Dt Bonnie's has now and the Liturgy staff member Anthony refused me the hosts. Both demanded he attend mass if he wanted to recrivr the Nlesdrd Sacrament. His cancer progressed to his vomiting blood all over the bed and bedroom rug. He was rushed to a John Muir and there for 10 days. Fathers then insisted I come everyday to mass to bring my husband a host. I explained we had no kids and my family was all dead I was his sole caregiver. I couldn't leave him. Fathers and Anthony said no, no. A former Superior at SAN Damiano then and still now pastor of a church in Buodby Sweden told me see Father Fred at Dt Mary's. Guess what he was great. The Blessed sacrament was always waiting for me every Tuesday at 10 Am. Fr Fred with his kindness made it possible for Don have Jesus with him everyday including the morning of 12/9. He died that afternoon. If any of you have a problem with the staff , don't register your complaint at the Cathederal Ofgivr with a Fr Steve Young a real smart alleviate. I know longer belong to this parish. I was very active and so was my husband. I hope God punished ur pastor for this. He isn't a priests priest like Richard Mangini and David Lawrence.

I've been blessed, humbled, and privileged to get to know this church, its amazing pastoral staff, and its courteous/friendly parishioners alike within the last year - and it has really made a huge impact on my faith journey! *Backstory: Since I was a wee lad, my family & I had known about this parish during the summers when we'd spend a whole Saturday at Waterworld, and as it got closer to the 4:00 hour, our parents would rush us to change and rinse and shower and get ready to go to the Saturday Vigil Mass at 4:30 p.m., and I remember that it was 'quite alright' to just wear shorts to mass! Well, I was a wee lad, remember?! Lol. (plus Concord summers are generally HOT!) - but hey, what matters is your attendance & active, full-conscious participation though, right?! Ayeeee!!!* Fast forward to the future - I never thought I'd be able to have a personal relationship with QAS! (physical, emotional, spiritual, and social) - as it has been a pleasure to work alongside their music ministry - a blend of enthusiastic, and industrious voices with one common commitment to assist the worshipping assembly in song of praise. I have been asked to sub several times as an accompanist/liturgical musician for some of their Sunday services within the last year, and I continue to do so - thank you, Mr. Banson! (QAS' current Music Director since early 2022). I have always looked forward to assisting in leading the assembly in sung prayer, and in doing so, it is such a warm & inviting atmosphere as I basked in their breathtaking stained glass windows, intricate altar details, and optimal lighting for capturing the joy of the Eucharist in such a spacious & grand interior. From the very first time I've subbed, the priests/presiders (such as their very enthusiatic & engaging pastor, Fr. Neal), their parish/volunteer staff (s/o to Nancy, Ernesto & Edelyn, Maria, Vincent, Mario & Jackie), I've gotten to know were exceptional, as they offered their helpful, and attentive service to help me prep that made my time there as a sub both smooth & effortless - ensuring a well-run, organized liturgical celebration! This 2023 is a major year for them, as they celebrate their Sesquicentennial - 150th Anniversary of the Parish, which is historically the beginning of the Roman Catholic faith in all of Concord! Help them celebrate by purchasing commemorative gear, and attending their events that they have planned all year long! If you are looking for a parish to join, they offer many opportunities for returning our gifts of time and talent to God. As stewards of God-given skills and abilities, volunteering in a ministry / organization provides a way to thank God, share our faith, and enhance the community. I feel at peace here and love to visit between services to sit with God and pray alone. Some of my most important prayers have been answered during my time at this church. Sadly, my amazing mom died recently, and we asked Father Jimmy if he could assist with her burial. Luckily he was available and gave the most heartfelt, passionate and genuine ceremony to send my mom off to God. She means so much to me and my family and we are so grateful that he was able to convey our love for her. I also want to mention Marianne. She was able to have Father Michael come to my mother's home to do the sacrament of the sick. Marianne is friendly and so helpful. They brought so much peace to me and my family during this difficult time.
