I never thought I'd ever leave a review about church lol. But this is so deserved and want to make sure I leave a review in case it helps someone also find their home church. Was going through a rough season where I found myself being pursued by God - for the first time in my life I can say I've ever been willing and open to leaning into my faith this way. About two months into rebuilding my relationship with God and I think it is safe to say we have found our home church with Bay and this campus specifically. Tried out a few churches in the area and Bay is what felt most like home for us. It was very important for me to find a place where I can be MYSELF and know God - I have felt a huge sense of peace and comfort coming here and feeling like I've found this. So amazing how involved Bay is within the community and the services it offers for the underserved communities. These are offered on an ongoing basis and engrained in their values which is so humbling to know. I've felt a tug to be involved in what they have to offer, to learn more, and so far it has been great. After service we always walk away feeling lighter, seen, and inspired. They rotate between different pastors to come and speak on Sunday and we love that we get a mix of different people to share the word. Their worship team is also so great and sings beautifully. Never in my life have I felt this hunger and it's an absolute blessing. What was "that church off the freeway with the lights on the hill" will hopefully be our forever home church. read more

God willing, we have found our forever church. The Bay Church is a church for all. I feel so blessed to be part of an organization that truly lives its mission, "Loving God, Loving people". There are many ways to serve and love on our community because of their unique way in targeting the need through their compassion ministries. Also!!! I LOVE and look forward to spending time each week in worship as we learn from the Word of God, through the teachings of spirit filled Pastors. This is my FIRSTHAND experience after attending the church several times, I bagan looking further into the organization and these are my findings. The Bay Church is a Pentecostal church listed as a member of Assemblies of God (2nd largest Pentacostal orginization in USA).  The main problem is they do not disclose that information at any point on there website or at the church. The Bay Church has disguised themselves as a non denominational church but this could not be further from the truth.  It demands the question, why? This is pure deception at it's core which goes against basic biblical Christian principles and understanding. It's a big red flag that should sound your internal alarm.  I thank God for allowing me to discover this. It is by His Holy Spirit that we're able to detect, discern and be guided to avoid traps such as this church. Those who have ears let them hear! read more

I love my church. I remember the firts time I came here a happy and smiled face greeted me with joy. Now I'm been gathering here for more than ten years, I so happy that I found community and a place to worship and learn about the word of God. We have small groups at homes, a blessing ministry were you can find friends and learn in the word of God every wee ---- Amo mi iglesia. We The Bay! We have been attending this church for 5+ years. My daughter and I were baptized last year together. The people at The Bay are so warm & welcoming. They do not harass or put pressure on you. We have been a part of small Groups and volunteer for Thanksgiving. Their shower program for the homeless is amazing! Volunteering and meeting so many great people while volunteering has been so rewarding. Additionally the weekly service and pastors are awesome! They focus on scripture and teach us so much. I started attending this church around 2020. I like the young adults and weekly "the table" meet-ups. I am so heartbroken when they removed the table to the small groups. Sadly, the small group I attended only lasted less than a year. The table felt like I am home again in the church I grew up. I love the fellowship with christian people my same age. Then, the Bay church also removed the Sunday afternoon and Saturday services. Those are the best times for me. Recently, I felt the church is so "commercialized" and money business. There are nonsense activities but not really into winning souls and spiritual growth. I like the church that will help me grow in my spiritual life, a Christ-centered church, and not just a Sunday goer. Sadly, the only closest church is the bay. I love the praise and worship. They have good singers and band. They really lead people to worship God however, I hate that they will stopped for the tithes and offering. There are so many times, God is speaking to me through the songs but interrupted for the tithes announcement then they will go back to lead people to worship again. It is like watching your fav. Sports game and you are so hype up because your team is about to win, but interrupted with commercials. Lastly, I requested for a marriage counseling and a pastor to officiate my wedding. It is very short notice, but the bay didn't accommodate me in time. :( They called me 1 week before my wedding. I am looking for a new church now. Hopefully, if they will bring back the afternoon services, I might stay. read more

Love, love, luv this place. Great choir, children's ministry and people. Large space beautifully situated between Concord and Pittsburg. Well-organized, clean, and wonderfully ran. This church collects, gives and sends people all over the world to help and evangelize. They have classes and groups for every age range. Well-spoken pastor and humble leaders. I'm a new neighbor of the church. Recently I was walking with my 18 month old son and we were nearly hit by a speeding car in the crosswalk. I decided the church would likely be a safer option for our walks and the gates to the parking lot were open. I was informed by a church member this is private property and myself and child in his stroller were not welcome (despite other people being in the parking lot at the time). Being from the neighborhood I had hoped to enroll my son in the preschool there but after this experience, I'll definitely be looking elsewhere. The irony of this Christian church turning away a mother and child looking for a safe place is not lost on me. read more

I was recently offended and disappointed in the Bay Church. Last week, from the stage, asca part of Sunday service it was requested to give a gift of love to the pastoral staff... Christmas was mentioned as the "time of year" to show our appreciation for the pastors. Wow, as a Christian, I thought Christmas time should represent more than a church pandering for money for its well-paid pastors. As a true measurement of spreading Jesus' teachings, why, instead, wouldn't this church ask for, suggest monetary gifts to the needy in the pastors' names? Soliciting money at Christmas to 'show gratitude' for pastors is just tacky! read more

Great massages with main pastor! I loved coming to church with family and even my friends! I moved away for work but miss this community!

I like the church, the pastors and their sermons, but I do not attend in-person service anymore. The music is simply too loud and the assembly hall too dark - it's almost like going to a rock concert at times. I just attend the service online. It's not the same , but better for my ears. read more

It's been a little over a year now since I first visited this beautiful, welcoming, spirit filled church! I've visited more times than I can remember now, and I still have the same opinion about this church, 5 stars all the way! I wish I could give more stars. My daughters and I attended the Christmas Eve evening service. It was absolutely wonderful! Praise and Worship was filled with songs of praise honoring our dear Saviors birth, the pastor sat with us and talked with us on an intimate level about what truly biblically took place during the birth of Jesus and then the ultimate, we all enjoyed and took communion together. What a blessing it is to have a church in the community that feeds the needs and hearts of the congregation, visitors, community and those who are in need spiritually and emotionally and financially! I found a new church. I love it! REAL friendly people, the worship team is amazing. You will find your heart leaping out of your chest and you will be singing along. I feel truly at home. I've been going for almost 2 months now and I feel very at home here. 1st timers get a Starbucks gift card. There are multiple service times for folks that need a little more sleep. There is a Saturday evening service. The Pastor and his wife are wonderful people. All of the staff that I've met there are so friendly. I love it. read more

I love coming to The Bay Church. Everyone is so friendly and very welcoming here. I love the worship music and the sermons that are being said when I attend. I love the flexibility of service times they offer. They also offer a Saturday service in the evening if you're unable to make it on a Sunday. So that's always a nice option. I also like how they are always having fun little activities for the adults and kids (I don't have kids) but it is nice to see all the kids running around like they're having the time of their lives! read more

Visited The Bay Church today for the first time. The facility is very welcoming! The Narthex is open and lovely. People are very friendly! The music, lights & fog were overwhelming and the music was extremely loud. If I go back I'll wear noise-canceling earphones. The sermon was the best we've heard in over ten weeks of visiting churches in the Diablo Valley. The sermon was totally scripture-centered and on target. The pastor is not afraid to address cultural issues and biblical situations as he explored and explained scriptural passages. If you're looking for a Cultural church this is not for you, but if you're looking for scripture-based teaching you will love Concord's The Bay church. read more

The Bay Church has been my home church for the past 7 years. My family has come to know God because of this church & community. Before I joined this church I wanted to make sure that this was the right place for me. I've sat in countless sermons and they all come straight from biblical passages. The Pastors all have a great way of teaching. Everything is backed up with scripture.. and that is what's truly important. On the other hand, everyone is very welcoming and loving. They are not afraid to answer hard questions, and they are very encouraging. They are very open with their finances and they have annual meetings to show the congregation exactly where tithes are going! I've seen so many people give their life to God at this church and a lot of them serve till this day.. Me and my husband and our children have been going here for about 3 years now. I absolutely love CTC!! CTC feels like home and I have never felt out of place here. This church is a family and which also does many awesome community outreach programs. CTC's mission is about loving God and Loving people and I have seen this church body do exactly that! Pastor John, Pastor Jason and Pastor Steve are such a blessing. They preach biblical truths and provide methods for real life application. I also am greatly thankful for their youth programs. CTC has various services for all ages. Their youth program is amazing with tons of activities and Christ centered teachings. Whenever we miss a day of church our middle schooler complains and begs us to make sure we go next service. Haha praise God he's hooked . This church is great because they offer a lot trips for youth good classes for kids and their Pastors Rock!

I visited this church for the first time. It's an Assembly of God (Pentecostal) denomination church. The dress can be shirt and shorts or suit and tie. People are friendly and welcoming. The church is big. It consists of a thousand people or more. The music is loud and has got soul. It's contemporary style. There are chairs not pews. As the pastor gives the sermon, notes are displayed on a big screen. There are many events that take place at the church. They have bible studies for women alone, men alone, women and men together. They have children's church, starting at 5 months. There is a TV in the infant classroom and in the 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years classroom. It's a nice church. read more

I cannot believe this church has become so watered down. It is truly sad to see a once prosperous congregation become diluted. For 15 years I have gone to this church and I believe it is safe to say that the Holy Spirit is not here, it has left to find a church where people actually love Jesus Christ and not go to get their ears tickled. I understand that you cannot tell people the truth completely or else they will not understand or might panic, but not telling the truth at all and just recycling sermons every year isn't the solution either. Sometimes it is better to make people repent and leave them feeling like God actually forgave their sins than to make people leave and feel happy about themselves. Do not forsake the Lord your God and disobey HIS COMMANDMENTS. read more
