I finally had a chance to go by morning ritual and it was so good. I only stopped in for a mid day…read morepick me up, but the views and ambiance were very nice. I would definitely return to see what else there is to offer. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Talked me through the menu options, and who can say no to a seasonal drink?! I absolutely cannot. I tried the sugar cookie latte with oat milk. The additional sugar cookie goat was a nice add on and tasted great as well. The other drink I ordered was a strawberry matcha. It was good, but if you're new to matcha - it still has the earthy finish. The pricing as reasonable as well.

I don't think I've ever expected to go to a coffee shop at an apartment complex. I was told there…read morewere cool vibes there. With some remote work to do, I drove through Pflugerville into this apartment complex parking lot to try their coffee chain. In my discovery (Google), every LC apartment complex has a "The Goat" and a "Morning Ritual" in their front office. If this is their standard for amenities, what a luxurious apartment complex. I wanted my classic lavender oat milk latte. Their spring menu had a Lavender Honey Latte, which I ordered. Feeding my slight hunger, I also got their three buttermilk biscuits with strawberry preserves to pair with it. However, since I was not dining in at The Goat, I was banished to either sitting outside the restaurant or heading upstairs. It was partially humid, and I wanted to lock in on some work, so I opted for the upstairs. I was the only person up there. The downstairs had some steady traffic, but I was completely alone upstairs, which also had a micro-arcade and a bowling alley. What apartment complex am I even at? Service was pretty good as they seemed on top of it. The food was good, but it was three biscuits and strawberry jam. If they had somehow in some way messed that up, we'd be having problems. The coffee was pretty standard. I wasn't blown away by it, but it was clearly good and well made. I don't know Morning Ritual's true purpose as an outsider compared to a restaurant like The Goat, but I bet I'd be a lot happier with my apartment complex if they had a full coffee bar at the front office.

I am still blown away by how poorly this situation was handled…read more While picking up a Starbucks order for my wife and daughter, I placed a Smoothie King order through the app. It confirmed my drink would be ready in about 15 minutes. I arrived right around that time and my order was nowhere to be found. After waiting a few minutes, I asked an employee about my order. I told her it was for Mike, a medium Angel Food. She immediately said she thought someone already picked it up and went to get the manager. The owner came out and, without even listening, flat-out told me, "Sorry sir, you already picked up your drink. It's gone." I told her I had literally just arrived and that someone else must have taken it. She looked through the receipts, found my order, and still insisted that I picked it up. At this point I was confused and getting irritated because she insisted someone else picked it up instead of actually trying to fix the issue. She then said she needed to "check the cameras" and disappeared to the back. After several minutes of standing there, I asked the employee if they were seriously going to make me wait while she reviewed footage instead of just remaking the drink. When the owner came back out, she claimed that someone walked in, said their name was Mike, and picked up my smoothie--so therefore I was out of luck. She refused to remake it. At that point, I showed her everything: - The Smoothie King app with my order - My debit card with my name - The bank transaction showing the charge I asked her directly if she was implying that I sent someone in earlier to grab my drink and was now trying to scam them out of a second one. She denied that, but continued to insist that "another Mike" already picked it up. Another customer in the store was visibly shocked at how this was being handled. She then questioned the employees again, who clearly looked nervous. I told them not to be afraid and just tell the truth. One of them admitted that someone came in and said they were picking up an Angel Food smoothie. At that point, it was obvious an employee mistake had been made, but no one wanted to own it. Only then did the owner finally approve remaking my drink. While waiting, I told her this entire situation was ridiculous and asked if she honestly thought I would try to steal an $8 smoothie. So let this be a warning: DO NOT place an online order at this location. If someone takes your drink--by mistake or otherwise--you will be treated like the problem, accused of already picking it up, and initially refused a remake or refund. Before leaving, I suggested the obvious solution: keep mobile orders behind the counter and require proof of purchase before handing them out. This whole situation was unnecessary, embarrassing, and handled terribly from start to finish.

.I want to support local franchise owners, but this visit made that very difficult…read more When I tried to give my phone number at the register to earn my Healthy Rewards points, I was told they don't do that here. I later confirmed with Smoothie King corporate that accepting phone numbers at checkout is part of the official Healthy Rewards program. It is not optional. It is in the terms and conditions. So this location is choosing not to honor a corporate policy that every other Smoothie King follows. I then downloaded the app on the spot, entered all my information, and before my QR code was scanned, I specifically asked if there was anything I needed to do first. I was told no. The transaction went through at full price. My points and rewards were not applied. When I asked for a refund so we could redo the transaction correctly, I was initially told no. I had to push back before the refund was processed, my points were finally credited, and I got my smoothie at the correct price. The person I was dealing with throughout all of this was the owner. Not a new employee. Not someone still learning the ropes. The owner of the franchise did not know how the Smoothie King app works, gave me incorrect information about the rewards program, and then resisted fixing the mistake. I am a regular Smoothie King customer. I have never had this experience at any other location. If you visit this store, make sure your points and rewards are applied before you pay, because the guidance you receive at the counter may not be accurate. I forone will not be coming back to this store.
