It was in the end…read moreof my at home yoga practice on a Wednesday morning that John knocked on my door, having no doubt seen the state of my front yard. My husband and I moved to Cordova from Nashville and while it's been a few years we never found a regular Lawncare person here like we had in Nashville. My husband was cutting the yard in his free time (he actually enjoys it) but with increasing demands at work his free time was basically -- never. John introduced himself and explained to me his services and what he could do with my yard. He wasn't judgmental although he could have been. He was prepared with lots of ideas for what could be done to my yard, depending on our budget. He carefully inquired as to the reason for the recent lack of care making sure to reassure me that whether it was time or money, or BOTH, that he was willing to work with us in that area. I explained that my husband worked nonstop and funds as usual were running low (we are a single income family of 4), but I had a desire to get the yard looking nice again. Now, mind you, plenty of people have knocked on the door looking to cut the yard because like I said it was in visibly poor shape, and I'd listen to their pitch and take their card and then never call them. But John was different. He seemed to understand the stitch we were in and his offer for help felt genuine, coming with a quote for his services that for once felt doable and affordable for us. So I told him I would speak with my husband and contact him the following day. I reached out the following day and the next day he was there with all his equipment, getting to work. We live on a corner lot so our front and back yards wrap around, and it's really quite a lot at the end of the day, and it was very overgrown at this point (When I showed him the backyard I prefaced it with "welcome to the Jungle" lol) John came and he conquered. He charged us an incredibly fair price, making good on his promise to help in that area. Payment was super easy with cashapp. The yard looks fantastic!
