Women in menopause and peri-menopause should NEVER take health advice...nutrition, fitness,…read morelifestyle, etc...from age 30-something coaches. They have not experienced ANYTHING we are going through, yetthrough they are advising women outside of the scope of their practice. Where are the 40-50+ year old coaches who have actually been though this? The coaching they are offering is overpriced macro coaching with scam contracts that are not legally binding.

I signed up for 12 months. After gaining 8 pounds and an inch around my waist during my reverse I…read moretold my coach I was gaining too quickly and I needed to stop the reverse diet. My coach said that I needed to continue with the reverse and we could consider a cut once my hormones healed. I finally talked to the owner and she agreed I could start cutting 6 weeks later after I had packed on another 7 pounds. My coach did a mini cut and I did lose a couple of pounds. I then reversed back up for a vacation. When I got back I started another cut which my coach planned out and reviewed with me. The approach is I would step down a 100 calories every 2 weeks, take a diet break midway and then continue cutting at a slower pace. I did not lose the first week so my coach cut me down 100 calories. This patterned continued for 6 weeks until I was laying in bed one night ready to eat my sheets because I was so hungry. I also injured my back. My coaches response was that I needed more fat later in the day. I told her no and bumped my calories up to maintenance so I could feel better. I sent a message to the owner whose response was that she talked to my coach and tried to blame me. I left the program at that point and found someone who has personally been through weight loss in menopause. It has been a huge difference. Don't work with the 20-30 year old coaches in this program. Find someone who is or has been through peri/post menopause.
