I come here on a weekly basis and also visit other Salvation Army locations, and this one has some of the best customer service out of all of them. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at some of the other locations. What really makes this location stand out is the staff. The workers are what make the shopping experience better. Their kindness, helpful attitude, and positive energy make such a big difference and make people want to come back. A good staff can completely change the feel of a store, and that is exactly what happens here. As I was waiting in line I spotted a tote bag tied to an end cap, I went to check and it was a gorgeous coach bag priced at $50 with a silver tag FOR 50% off!! I felt like one of those thrift store influencers on social media!! I also found a dress I liked but saw the tag was $50. Sounds crazy for thrift so I checked the label and it was 100% silk at 30 % off. I did try it on and took it home. Today was a really good day for me bad for my wallet but happy I decided to come here.

This Salvation Army does not have a big selection as Fountain Valley's locations, but you can find some gems from time to time. Thrift store inventories always change - treasure hunting is part of the thrill. I would advise customers to examine the garment closely because they had a lot of stained clothings with holes and overstretched waistbands. The prices are a steal when they have their 50% sale. The only downside is that there are no fitting rooms available. I would recommend wearing leggings and a fitted top to just slip the clothes on you to try. Since they do not accept returns it is okay to be a bit shameless. The sizes are not organized, which is to be expected. Remember, this is a non-profit thrift store and it is has more traditional thrifting feel than big-box ones.

I came in today, and for lack of better terms, it was a mess. the clothes were disorganized, with random pieces hanging in the wrong sections, as well as clothes all over the floor, or laying on top of the racks. I was sympathetic about this, as it is a busy friday, and there were only a few workers on the floor compared to the large number of elderly and poser teenagers sifting through the items without care. It previously hadn't gotten that bad before though. However something that stuck out to me was the interaction I had while checking out, or I should say lack of interaction. An adult man checked me out, and whilst hardly acknowledging me, he was conversing with another guy at the neighboring register. I'll admit, I was eavesdropping. This man was complaining about only getting short shifts and how the company was being greedy with hours. -"f*** I wish I could get a lunch for once" This was funny to me, because you work at a thrift store. its not a career. maybe find a better source of income at ur grown age idk...After checking me out, I said thank you and he continued conversing whilst ignoring me. From the entrance, on the right side, you'll see the big racks of their current trends or hip items. Had some nice jeans and also some more dressy wear. I came in on a Yellow Tag day and was able to find some things to restock my closet some. The lady at the register was pretty chill and said they ran out of shopping bags, I was like it's okay I can just carry them out. I guess it matched the discount store vibe lol. They do have a few changing rooms with staff standing right outside if you need anything - thought that was pretty cool. Parking was pretty much almost full when I got there, but was able to find parking right by the front of the shop. Think I'm gonna add this location to my list of thrift shops in the area.

I've been to many Goodwill locations before, and this has never been an issue, usually they just retag the item and/or scan something similar and sell it. There is a very noticeable "thrift store" smell that clings to the clothing and the air inside. It wasn't as bothersome when I was in the store but it bothered my nose for about two hours after I left.
