I come here all the time for donations, never to actually shop and decided to try it out. I spent about an hour here going thru aisles. The only thing I did not like were that the aisles are not sorted by size. Neither are the shoes. They are sorted by colors and it would be helpful if sizes could be sorted as well, a bit overwhelming. When I got to the register, the man was kind enough to tell me that one of my color tags was 50% off. They were able to create a "profile" for me to discount further. Street/side parking drop off right in front which is super convenient, but there can be a line of cars on the weekends, but it's literally a less than 5 minute wait, even less. Haven't been inside but if the demographic is any indication, there's probably a good mix of upper-mid class wares and hidden gems to be found. Happy hunting! read more

Poor customer service from management and contradicting company policy. The cashier was very kind and feel bad that she works for such poor management. Found an old Polyester vintage tie on the tie rack with literally hundreds of other ties with a sign above stating Ties & Belts $2.99. Upon taking it to the register to checkout, they wouldn't sell it to me. The manager said it couldn't be sold because it didn't have a color tag/bone and that "it will be back on the floor tomorrow" saying it's company policy. Even though there is a sign directly above all ties that says $2.99ea. Even after offering to pay $3.99 for the tie, the manager basically told me I'd have to come back tomorrow to buy it. This is absolutely poor customer service when you run a retail store and have someone in front of you who has the money to and wants to buy your product, telling them to come back another day! That might work for a local, but someone passing through town... it makes no sense! I spend $1000's of dollars a year at Goodwill Thrift Stores and even online on their ShopGoodwill auction page buying things that were all DONATED for free! The staff who take in the donations are always rude. Goodwill is making a bunch of money from profiting from free items and yet all their employees seem miserable. For some reason, vibe at this goodwill is toxic. As a customer who has visited there quite a few times over the past couple of years, I kept thinking each particular visit was bad due to one time situations. Today I realized that employees are either rude or don't seem to enjoy their time there. Today's incident is as follows: I found an item without a price, a package of shred (for gifts). I brought it to the register and was told they could not sell it to me because it did not have a price. I asked if someone could do pricing for it. It was as re-iterated that they sell NOTHING without a price, even gift wrapping item like this. Manager told me it would have go through processing before he could sell it. I asked if he could process it while I was there. Again, road block conversation with a firm No. This is NOT a community-minded store, and they care nothing about hearing from their customers. I have other similar examples of this attitude, but will leave this review detailing today's incident. (**Please note that this same concern was raised in an earlier review regarding a polyester tie.) My future donations and business will go elsewhere. I am tired of leaving this store in a bad mood because they seem to care nothing about the people that support then. Go to another thrift store that appreciates your business! When shopping at Goodwill, I have learned to keep my expectations low. Weird smells will almost always accompany anything I purchase and the shopping experience will most likely be forgettable at the most. NOT THIS GOODWILL. This Goodwill is the brightest, biggest, most organized, least odor-offensive store I have ever been in. In fact, the children's section was straight up brimming with happy kids taking toys for a spin. I even saw this tea cart that my daughter has that retails for $70 in perfect condition for the low, low price of $3.95. Thanks to "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" it is rumored that Goodwill stores have been STACKED across the nation. Because of all the treasures I found, I totally believe this is true. Good size store and great prices - exactly what you should see at a thrift shop! I visit this location often. The staff is very kind too.

This is the Goodwill that is nearest to my house, so I stop by occasionally, even though it's not my favorite thrift shop. This branch has mostly clothes (a lot of teen "fast fashion") and not a huge selection of what I'm looking for: home accessories, kitchen items, plates, retro ceramics and frames. Not anything I really NEED, but stuff that I would enjoy having, especially knowing I hadn't spent that much money on it. Given that this is a smaller store, there's not much from my hit list that I find here, though it's worth a 10 minute wander. It is clean and well-organized. Make sure you take note of the color of the week for 50% off, because that mug that's ok for $2.99 might be a lot more attractive at $1.50. They have a chalkboard right when you walk in with that info. read more

Unloading assistance is readily available, as well as push carts to load items onto, eliminating the need to walk every single bag/item to the door. There's a list of unacceptable items at the door, but everything I've taken in as been accepted thus far - including stuffed animals. Shopping: Store is well organized & placed on the racks via size. 'Color of the week' items, referencing the color of the price tag, are discounted on a weekly bases. Items are priced via selection, such as 'sleeveless shirts, $2.99; Dresses, $8.99'. Large dressing rooms, clean restroom & testing station for electronics. Return policy is for store credit only with receipt and tags within 7 days; electronics 2 days. When one of the bagging workers noticed we were buying this "stashed" item she stopped helping us and ran to the other workers asking if someone let out her items. Truly PATHETIC!!! Outside workers stand around while grandma tries to load heavy furniture into their cars. Planet Fitness customer more likely to assist her than these guys who just stand there and watch. If I could give negative stars I would. I am appalled at the staff and how inhumane they are. I had come to pick up a microwave for my local church and as I struggled to get the heavy microwave into my car in the pickup lane, a cart started to roll almost hitting my car. I asked a girl in a goodwill shirt walking in on her phone if she could grab the cart before it rolls into my car she looked up from her phone and nervously replied "I'm off the clock". This Goodwill is pretty clean and doesn't have a musty smell like other stores. I was able to easily find the sections I wanted, but there's not much selection. I looked through women's clothing, and there were only a few racks (one row) of each size. Same with the men's section, although the women's section was a lot bigger. However, I did find a couple pieces that I love and worked well for me, including a brand new pair of jeans. I was mainly looking for jeans though, so I didn't fully scope out everything else. The fitting area was super clean, and the employees were fast at putting items on the "rejected" rack back where they belonged. I have a Capital One card, so I got the 10% off and the employee checking me out was super nice about explaining the discounts, Color of the Week, and rewards program. We will be taking our future donations to other centers instead of this location. My new favorite thrift store! I have found countless treasures, some I was looking for and some I wasn't :) After going there every week since they opened, I didn't know ( until today) that if you pay with a Capital One card- you get an additional 10%off! Not sure if that can be combined with the color of the week but definitely worth noting. The cashier explained that Capital One partners with them in some capacity so as a thank you, Capital One customers get the discount. A win win for me! read more

I like Goodwill and support their mission as a non-profit, but today I was left in the lurch by a policy and a service that the store promotes. I stopped in to see if there was anything that I could repurpose and found a great smaller chest, only I had a small vehicle with me. I called to get my larger vehicle, but the person who had it was too far. So, I could have gone home to get a station wagon, but my chest was on the curb. Apparently, you have to buy and take it, a sign in the furniture department or an announcement to that effect would be helpful, since they have enough for other things. So, I tried the recommended Bungii app and it said 11 minutes at the outset, which was fine, and then once my billing information was entered, it went to two hours and fifteen minutes. Ridiculous, and spending over $50 for a chest to be delivered that wasn't that large, but I would have done so because it was a decent deal. So, I tried once again to call someone in the family to get the larger vehicle, or the wagon, but no driver was home. In the end, I spoke to someone about it and they didn't offer to let me leave it in the store or anything, so I had no choice but to donate it back to the store as there's no refund on furniture, evidently. Can this be any more difficult or obtuse? Given that the location sells larger furniture, how about putting that on the tag that you take to go buy the piece. I didn't want to write a negative review and was fine with it when I left, but when I got home, I realized that I had been fleeced by a charity shop, well feeling that way. And, no, I couldn't just leave it and go get my other car because I saw someone eyeing it when I was in the store talking to someone about the situation, checking it over, etc. It would have been sold again or just taken had I left it on the curb to go get my station wagon or larger vehicle. Again, I support Goodwill, and I do think the people are friendly, but the policies on larger items need to be a bit more clear. I can remember seeing "SOLD" tags on the furniture before COVID closures and I assumed people made arrangements to come back, but if you have to bring a moving van with you, why bother going to shop at Goodwill because you don't know if they have something? And, if they do, you have to buy it and remove it immediately. It just seems to be too cumbersome, when it could be spelled out a tad bit better. And, it makes me not want to recommend Goodwill to someone looking for any furniture because of this reason. All I needed to do was half about half an hour to an hour to run home, get another vehicle, and get back to the store. But, i guess that's a bit too much to ask, since I should have known that I would be going there and should have had the foresight to hire a box truck to follow me around all day, just in case. The recommendation in Goodwill for Bungii is annoying because the app is basically useless. There's no priority service for Goodwill locations, not when 11 minutes turns into two hours and 15. And, the lack of a clear and concise policy that's posted in the actual departments where larger items are sold, or on the tag, would be a bit more helpful than buying something that you can use and upcycle for your own use, not for profit, and then having to abandon it because there's no accommodation for a customer. Grand opening!! Employees and executives throughout the store, re-stocking and helping customers. A DJ playing decent music, a raffle for various prizes (I didn't win!). Pretty organized for such a small space. Designated signs for women's, mens, children's, restrooms... There was a face painter there for kids. Parking was crazy but it was the grand opening, keep in mind that there is parking behind the building. There was a roped off space to control the line and everyone seemed excited to be there and help. I'll return when it's not so busy. read more

We've been here several times and just made our first trip back after Covid. We like this location because they always have great stuff!! They're currently doing a great job at having people maintain social distance. Everybody was wearing masks. When you walk in there are disinfectant wipes for the carts and hand sanitizer. There are signs on the floor that indicate which direction to walk in; there is only one way in and out of the aisles. There is somebody at the entrance to help point them out to customers or tell people where to stand and wait to check out. Plexiglass is up at the registers and the merchandise is kept neat. I did witness an incident while shopping that left a bad taste in my mouth. (Took off one star) I may be wrong, but I believe it was the manager (older woman, dark brown hair with glasses). A family was there with 3 small children who were playing with the toys. Toys were strewn around which I get is hassle. They were still playing when this particular employee yelled at the father about the toys. A few around me heard from a few aisles away, it made me pretty uncomfortable and made me feel sorry for the family. Our trip ended pretty well, a young gentlemen checked us out and was so nice. IMO the best Goodwill in the area right now! It's just been opened so that's a plus with it's clean, big space and well maintained fitting rooms. Employees are friendly and helpful. I've found so many great gems in all the sections so I feel like it's less picked-through than the older Goodwills in the area and still not as known. Obviously the downside to this is that there aren't as many things - I see people donating all the time so maybe this will change but as it's first starting up some of the racks have sections that are still somewhat sparse. Also, I find the pricing of the items a little weird - not sure if it's standardized from Goodwill to Goodwill but some jewelry had higher Goodwill prices ($9.99) than the actual retail tag. Always make sure to double check those if they're there! read more

Isn't the purpose of a having retail store to sell things? One of the clothing items I was interested in did not have a price tag on it and when I asked the store associate how much it would be she said that she would have to put it in the back to be priced, which takes 24 hours. I asked if I could put my name on it and she said, "no, you will find it on the rack in 24 hours or more." -Who is this store policy benefiting? I usually enjoy going to goodwill and I usually find that their associates are kind and helpful, however this morning I called to ask about a donation of mine that was processed and the sales associate who answered the phone was unnecessarily rude, demeaning, insulting, and unhelpful. He refused to help and continued saying rude things to me until I hung up the phone. The purpose of thrift stores is to help and uplift the community, however this location is doing the opposite. I will not be shopping at this goodwill anymore and I suggest the community do the same. read more

This Goodwill ended up being my go-to source for wedding decorations. I was able to source nearly all of my centrepiece decor (e.g. plates, vases), my card box, table number frames, frames for signs, and a whole host of other stuff from this location. Went by to drop some stuff off and they told me they wouldnt take the child booster seat. I said "no problem, can you throw it away then?" Guy was like "you can check around back, we have dumpsters". OK, fine. I drive around back, find the dumpster and proceed to put the little seat thing in. Another guy walks over and is like, " whoa, you can't do that. You need to throw it away at home". Argued with him for a few seconds, told him the guy in the front told me I could, etc. He didn't care and was very rude. Meanwhile he is dumping bag after bag of stuff in the dumpster and all I have is a one lb child seat. It was quite ridiculous. I get not being able to take ratty old furniture and use their dumpsters but this policy is BAD. Change it please read more

I come here often and have gotten some really good deals. However, some of their pricing is weird; last time I was there I saw some yarn that had a higher Goodwill price tag on it than the original Walmart price tag on it. They also seem to use the register that is furthest away from where the line is supposed to be; I've had other customers cut the line in front of me (probably not even realizing it), and go right up to the register and the cashier not say anything to them. read more

Don't think I'll ever donate there again- took in 3 dining chairs in good condition that they wouldn't accept- the reason- they "didn't have time to put the seats on" ---4 simple screws which we had in a ziplock bag. Seriously!?! I won't waste my time again. read more

As far as Goodwill stores go, the one on Westfields Blvd is one of the best ones I've been to. It's no Plato's Closet, but I've come here several times to shop for young professional women's attire and I've had positive experiences with the merchandise, store, and employees. If you're willing to take the time to treasure-hunt, you can find some high-quality, name-brand, in-season, like-new pieces for a steal. This location has a wide selection of clothing, most of the racks are well-organized, and the fitting rooms are clean and regularly cleared of garments left behind. Every employee I've interacted with in the store - from the girl restocking the shoe section to the manager - has been friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed with the employee named Sita. :) She was a delight to talk with and very helpful when I was looking for specific items on the racks, making returns, and checking out at the register at closing time on Sunday (their busiest day due to special sales). read more
